The Trump administration’s whack-a-mole approach to problem solving is damaging the country for decades to come.
Let’s address the elephant in the room. I believe this is all about the felon in the White House desperately trying to avoid consequences for his self-indulgent lifestyle, courting sexual predators, cheating contractors, bankruptcies both financial and moral, criminal convictions, and ongoing investigations and lawsuits.
Allow beef from Argentina to offset food price increases; infuriate farmers and ranchers. Subsidize farmers and ranchers; increase the deficit. Prices go up. Approval rating goes down. Take over Venezuela and start a war in the Middle East hoping for a rally-around-the-flag popularity surge. Oil prices go up. Stock market goes down. No popularity surge. Try again. Announce you will end the war; stock market rallies, and wholesale oil prices go down; prices at the pump don’t. Uh-oh. What now?
This felon now wants to federalize elections, which is unconstitutional. What does he care? His minion Republican Party must cling to their fragile majorities in Congress at any cost in order to kick the can of accountability down the road until another distraction can be manufactured.
Like hostages in a robbery gone wrong, we are all forced to endure this insanity. For what? So this selfish, corrupt 79-year-old man can avoid the consequences of his lifetime of dishonesty. This is not America first.
Keeping in mind our best interest and that of our nation, I hope that We the People carefully consider the consequences of our votes this November.
