It’ll be a nice day to see rock icon Billy Idol perform this summer.

The 2026 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominee will be headed to the Pavilion at Star Lake on Aug. 20 with his It’s a Nice Day to … Tour Again! tour. Idol last performed in Southwestern Pennsylvania at the UPMC Events Center in 2023.

Idol rocked MTV in the early 1980s with singles including “White Wedding” and “Dancing With Myself.” In 1987, his live version of “Mony Mony” went to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and he accrued 11 other hits on the chart in the 1980s and 1990s including “Rebel Yell,” “Eyes Without a Face” and “Cradle of Love.”

The 2025 documentary “Billy Idol Should Be Dead” examines Idol’s life and struggles, from his 1970s punk rock days to his commercial success and beyond. The documentary is streaming on Hulu. In February, it was announced that he was nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, making it his second year in a row on the ballot.

A presale for the Aug. 20 tour date for Citi cardholders will begin Wednesday at noon, and Citi cardholders will be able to access it through citientertainment.com. Other presales — including an artist presale — will be held throughout the week, and the general sale will start at noon Friday at billyidol.net/tour.
