The depletion of Pitt’s men’s basketball roster continued on the second day of the transfer portal window being open.
Guard Nojus Indrusaitis was the latest Panthers player to tell the program of his intentions to transfer Wednesday, a source confirmed to TribLive, following fellow guards Brandin Cummings and Omari Witherspoon, center Kieran Mullen and forwards Roman Siulepa and Papa Amadou Kante.
As of Wednesday afternoon, only guard Macari Moore, who played in 22 games last season as a true freshman and averaged 5.9 minutes off the bench, remains among coach Jeff Capel’s scholarship players who saw action in 2025-26.
Capel, whom athletic director Allen Greene retained for the 2026-27 campaign, is coming off a 13-20 (5-13 ACC) season.
Indrusaitis arrived at Pitt via the portal ahead of last season from Iowa State, where he played a reserve role in 2024-25 as a freshman.
In one season at Pitt, Indrusaitis demonstrated impressive development, as he played in all 33 games, making six starts, while averaging 9.1 points and 3.1 rebounds.
The 6-foot-5 guard shot 40.3% from the field and 38.7% from long range.
Additional departures for Pitt so far this offseason include associate head coach Tim O’Toole and assistant Jason Capel, both of whom were fired in late March, as well as four-star Class of 2026 prospect Anthony Felesi, who decommitted from Pitt on Tuesday.
The transfer portal remains open through April 21.
