LHP Nick Dombkowski (0-1, 8.53) started and was touched up for five runs on six hits, including two homers, in 4 ⅔ innings. RHP Jarod Bayless (10.13) followed with 3 ⅓ scoreless innings and RHP Beau Burrows worked a scoreless ninth.

RHP Landon Tomkins (0-1, 9.00) gave up two runs in 1 ⅓ innings to take the loss. 1B Shawn Ross (.333) went 2 for 4 with his first homer. 3B Javier Rivas (.071) went 1 for 3 with an RBI. 2B Duce Gourson (.263) went 1 for 3 with his second stolen base.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 5-1) beat Asheville (Astros), 4-3, in 11 innings. 1B Jared Jones (.217) worked a walk-off bases-loaded walk. RHP Kyle Larsen (0.00) pitched 2 ⅓ innings with three strikeouts and LHP Inmer Lobo (1-0, 0.00) threw 1 ⅓ innings as the Grasshoppers didn’t allow the automatic runner to score in two extra innings. SS Jack Brannigan (.286) went 2 for 4 with a home run. CF Lonnie White Jr. (.273) went 2 for 4 with his second homer. C Easton Carmichael (.200) went 1 for 2 with a homer and two walks.
