Man wanted for hitting coworker in Jeannette

Police are searching for a man who they said attacked his coworkers at a restaurant in Jeannette.

Officers say McKinley Pace Jr. is facing charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person in connection to a fight that broke out March 27 at DeNunzio’s Italian Restaurant in Jeannette, as reported by TribLive news partner WTAE.

Police responded to the restaurant for reports that two employees were fighting. When they arrived, one of the workers, later identified as Pace, had already left the scene.

The other man involved in the fight, who was not identified, told police Pace arrived at the restaurant and immediately began to complain about doing other employees’ work.

According to WTAE, the criminal complaint said the employees began to yell at one another.

Police said the unidentified person told them Pace yelled, “I’ve had enough, I’m going to punch him in the face.”

“I’m right here, you don’t have to go upstairs,” the unidentified man said he responded to Pace.

Pace then lunged at the man and began hitting him in the face multiple times, according to the report. Once Pace was done attacking him, he allegedly approached his coworker’s wife and struck her in the face, the complaint said.

The general manager told authorities Pace had only been clocked in for a minute before the attack.

1 shot in leg in Brighton Heights

A man was shot in the leg Thursday in Pittsburgh’s Brighton Heights neighborhood, police said.

Officers reported that at about 9:30 p.m., they were dispatched to the 3300 block of Fleming Avenue for a single 16-round shot spotter alert.

Upon arrival, officers found an adult male with a single gunshot wound to the leg, according to a police report.

Early investigation suggests an altercation broke out between two adult men in the street, police said. Shots were fired and an adult man suspect fled the scene in a vehicle, according to the report.

Pittsburgh Emergency Medical Services transported the other adult man, who was suffering from a gunshot wound, to the hospital in stable condition, police said.

Officers later located the suspect on the 3100 block of Wadlow Street and arrested him.

The mobile crime unit responded to process the scene and recovered a firearm, the police said.

Violent Crime Unit Detectives are leading an active and ongoing investigation.
