May 9 luncheon to benefit Animal Protectors
The Hearts for Strays spring luncheon fundraiser to benefit Animal Protectors of Allegheny Valley will be May 9 at Knead Community Café, 1011 Barnes St., New Kensington.
Doors open at 10 a.m. and lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. There will be a basket raffle, a special raffle, card games and a 50-50.

Drive-thru food distribution set Tuesday at Pittsburgh Mills
Allegheny Valley Association of Churches and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank will host a drive-thru food distribution for anyone in need from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in parking lot of the former JC Penney store at the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills, Frazer.
Reservations are not required. Do not arrive before 4 p.m. Guests should remain in their vehicles and open their door or trunk and will be served on a first-come, first-served basis.
