The annual Roundball Classic senior all-star basketball games will be played May 30-31 at North Allegheny.

The schedule and rosters were announced last week.

The schedule is as follows: May 30 — Class 4A vs. 5A, 2 p.m. (boys); Class 2A vs. District 10, 3:30 p.m. (boys); Class 3A vs. Class A/City League/Erie, 5 p.m. (boys); Class 6A vs. Class 5A, 6:30 p.m. (boys); May 31 — Class 2A/A vs. District 10/9, 4 p.m. (girls); Class 4A/5A vs. Class 3A, 5:30 p.m. (girls); Class 6A/City League vs. Class 5A, 7 p.m. (girls).

Westmoreland County will have ample representation and a unique storyline.

Some fences will have to be mended as rivals team up for the event.

Take Jeannette and Sewickley Academy. Players from both of the boys teams will join forces on the Class 2A team, which will be coached by Jeannette’s Adrian Batts. The teams met in this year’s WPIAL championship.

The team includes Jeannette’s Kymon’e Brown and Xavier Odorisio-Farrow, and Caiden Battles and Lucas Grimsley of Sewickley Academy.

Danny Husenits of Hempfield was selected for the 6A boys.

Ty Harcom of Greensburg Salem and Brayden Robinson of Derry will play for the 4A boys, and the 5A boys feature the Latrobe duo of Ian DeCerb and Robert Young, along with Zach Feldman of Penn-Trafford.

Noah Felentzer of Southmoreland is on the 3A team alongside Ligonier Valley’s Michael Vargulish-Graver and Mike Wisniewski.

Two girls rivals, Greensburg Central Catholic and Shady Side Academy, will wear the same jerseys for the 3A team, and rival coaches will work together in GCC’s Chris Skatell and Shady Side Academy’s Jonna Burke. The team includes Erica Gribble, Jayla Peterson and Abby Dlugos of GCC and Karis Thomas and Cassie Sauer of SSA.

Section foes, GCC and Shady Side met in the last two WPIAL finals and in this year’s PIAA semifinals, with GCC winning WPIAL and state titles.

Navarah Smith of Jeannette and Madison Johnson of Monessen will play for the Class 2A/A team, and Mya Heasley of Greensburg Salem is on the 4A/5A team.

Gabby Coccia and Ava Shipman of Hempfield and Ava Christopher of Norwin are on the 6A/City League roster, and Torrie DeStefano of Penn-Trafford is on the 5A team.
