A Butler County motorcyclist was killed and his passenger injured after being struck by an SUV on Sunday evening, Pennsylvania State Police said.
Glen K. Dalton, 59, of Prospect was declared dead at the scene, while his passenger had “suspected serious injuries” and was taken via helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Police did not offer any information on the status of the SUV driver.
The crash took place at Chicora Road and Oneida Valley Road in Summit Township.
Dalton had been travelling south on Chicora Road and was attempting to turn left onto an on-ramp to Route 422, according to state police.
The SUV driver was travelling north of Chicora Road and headed straight through the intersection, striking Dalton as he turned, police said.
