President Donald Trump created a social media stir on Sunday by attacking the Pope and following it up with a post that depicted himself as Jesus.

Trump lashed out at Pope Leo XIV after he has repeatedly spoken out against the war, and amid reports that the White House attempted to bully the Vatican over his stance on war.

“Pope Leo is WEAK on Crime, and terrible for Foreign Policy,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “He talks about ‘fear’ of the Trump Administration, but doesn’t mention the FEAR that the Catholic Church, and all other Christian Organizations, had during COVID when they were arresting priests, ministers, and everybody else, for holding Church Services, even when going outside, and being ten and twenty feet apart. I like his brother Louis much better than I like him, because Louis is all MAGA. He gets it, and Leo doesn’t!”

About an hour later, Trump shared an AI-generated photo that depicted himself as Jesus, touching the forehead of a sick, bedridden man.

The posts did not go over well with many on social media.

“On Orthodox Easter, President Trump attacked the Pope because the Pope is rightly against Trump’s war in Iran and then he posted a picture of himself as if he is replacing Jesus,” Marjorie Taylor Greene wrote on X. “This comes after last week’s post of his evil tirade on Easter and then threatening to kill an entire civilization.

“I completely denounce this and I’m praying against it!!!”

“The whole Truth Post about the Pope was unnecessary, and the AI image of himself as Jesus Christ is borderline blasphemous and should have never been done,” Conservative American Politics wrote on X. “We can and should always call out President Trump when he does something stupid.”

“First Trump attack the Pope, head of the Catholic Church, for actually following the teachings of Jesus,” The Burns Protocol wrote on X. “Now Trump is falsely claiming to be Jesus through AI Slop. A liar, crook, fraud, convicted rapist, pedo, authoritarian, and warmonger. Trump is antichrist.”

“This is straight-up ANTICHRIST energy,” Red Pill USA wrote on X. “In what twisted, delusional timeline does Trump think he’s playing JESUS CHRIST, out here ‘healing’ people like some messianic savior. As if the same PEDOPHILE NETWORKS he continues to shield and protect suddenly have the divine power to perform MIRACLES now. Trump has completely LOST THE PLOT. Real Christians need to WAKE UP, stop simping for this GODLESS FRAUD, and ABANDON HIM IN MASS before it’s too late. The blind loyalty is getting DANGEROUS.”

“President Trump posts image portraying himself as Jesus Christ,” another person wrote. “Now he’s playing with fire. God will punish him so bad. He’s now provoking God. You don’t mock God and his son like this.

“It won’t end well for him.”
