Pittsburgh Penguins assistant general manager Jason Spezza was appointed to an unspecified role with Hockey Canada’s management group for the International Ice Hockey Federation’s (IIHF) World Championship.

On Monday, Hockey Canada announced Spezza will head the group along with Brad Treliving, recently fired as general manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Additionally, Penguins president of hockey operations Kyle Dubas will operate in a vague “support” role for the upcoming tournament, which is scheduled to take place in May 15 through 31 at venues in Zurich and Fribourg, Switzerland.
