Pitt landed a third commitment from the transfer portal Monday in Mercer center Armani Mighty, who made an announcement on Instagram.

Mighty followed Georgia Tech big man Baye Ndongo and Syracuse point guard Naithan George in joining the Panthers on Monday.

With their additions, on top of three other transfers — Dominique Diomande (BYU/Washington), plus guards Jonathan Powell (North Carolina/West Virginia) and Jalil Bethea (Alabama/Miami) — Pitt has added more players (six) than were lost through the portal this spring.

Roman Siulepa, Brandin Cummings, Omari Witherspoon, Papa Amadou Kante and Kieran Mullen were scholarship players from the 2025-26 squad who entered the portal.

Mighty enjoyed a breakout campaign with Mercer this past season, averaging 13.2 points and 10.6 rebounds over 32 games, all starts.

A 6-foot-10 native of Toronto, Calif., he began his college career at Boston College, where he was a reserve from 2022-24.

In 2024-25, he played at Central Michigan but did not appear in any games, receiving a medical redshirt.

Mighty shot 64.5% from the floor last season, adding 1.7 blocks per game for Mercer.
