The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission says it will help enforce a security zone on sections of Pittsburgh’s three rivers during the upcoming NFL draft.
Within the zone, all recreational and commercial vessel traffic is prohibited from entering without permission from the U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port or the U.S. Coast Guard on-scene Patrol Commander.
The zone will be centered at Point State Park and extend to the Rivers Casino on the Ohio River, the Roberto Clemente Bridge on the Allegheny and the Fort Pitt Bridge on the Mon.
The zone will be in effect from midnight April 23 until 11:59 p.m. April 25.
According to the commission, its work will assist U.S. Coast Guard units.
The three-day draft is expected to bring more than a half-million visitors to Pittsburgh. It will take place throughout the Point and Pittsburgh’s North Shore.
