Daniel Spence hit a walk-off RBI single to lift Elizabeth Forward to an 8-7 victory over Belle Vernon in Section 2-4A baseball Tuesday.

Jack Crovak went 2 for 4 with a home run and four RBIs and Kameron Little doubled and drove in a run for the Warriors (7-3, 5-1). Jack Edwards went 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs and Connor Bergman singled and had three RBIs for the Leopards (8-3, 6-2).

Avonworth 4, Shady Side Academy 2 – Will Fowler homered and drove in two runs and Case Latore had a double and an RBI to lead Avonworth (9-4, 6-0) past Shady Side Academy (3-6, 1-5) in Section 2-3A.

Baldwin 11, Gateway 0 – Hudson McKain threw a one-hit complete-game shutout and struck out 11 as Baldwin (8-2, 5-1) defeated Gateway (4-8, 2-4) in Section 4-5A. McKain also tripled, doubled and drove in two runs for the Highlanders. Jon Saunders produced the only hit for the Gators.

Charleroi 9, Keystone Oaks 1 – Brock Henderson went 3 for 4 with an RBI, Tristyn Woods went 2 for 3 with a double and Luke Henderson doubled and drove in two runs to lead Charleroi (4-5, 4-4) to a Section 4-3A win. Nate Rohe hit a home run for Keystone Oaks (4-6, 2-4).

Eden Christian 5, Sewickley Academy 3 – Levi DeFazio and Brady Hull doubled and Jackson Bremmer singled and drove in two runs to lead Eden Christian (6-3, 5-0) to a Section 3-A win. Logan Berezney singled and drove in a run for Sewickley Academy (5-4, 3-2).

Indiana 12, Greensburg Salem 0 – Brady Oakes gave up two hits in five shutout innings, Sullivan Vanhoose had two doubles and two RBIs, Charlie Manzi had a home run and two RBIs and Shane McHugh doubled and drove in two runs for Indiana (8-1, 6-0) in a Section 3-4A win. Chase Stellato and Colin Doran singled for Greensburg Salem (1-8, 0-4).

Jefferson-Morgan 6, West Greene 1 – Brayden Ellsworth went 2 for 3 with two RBIs and Drew Adams singled and drove in two runs to lead Jefferson-Morgan (5-6, 4-4) to a Section 1-A win over West Greene (2-8, 2-4).

Laurel Highlands 2, Albert Gallatin 0 – Ramaree Morgan gave up two hits in six shutout innings and Sevi Vechiolia went 2 for 3 with a double and a RBI to lead Laurel Highlands (3-7, 2-4) to a Section 2-4A win. Colton Chipps doubled for Albert Gallatin (1-9, 0-8).

Mohawk 13, Beaver Falls 2 – Adam Deal gave up two runs, one earned, on two hits and struck out 11 in five innings while Vinny Pezzuolo was a single short of the cycle and drove in five runs to lead Mohawk (8-1, 4-1) to a Section 1-3A win. Drew Wrona and Tallan Swanson each knocked in three runs and Bobby Fadden doubled and drove in two for the Warriors. Bryce Borghi plated a run for Beaver Falls (2-4, 1-4).

Norwin 13, Woodland Hills 2 – Trevor Vitsas had two doubles and two RBIs, Ethan Mullen went 2 for 3 with four RBIs and Liam O’Donnell tripled and drove in two runs to lead Norwin (7-4, 5-3) past Woodland Hills (4-5, 0-5) in a Section 2-6A win.

OLSH 6, Apollo-Ridge 2 – Colby Lane singled and drove in two runs and Owen Minzer doubled to lead OLSH (8-3, 6-0) to a Section 3-2A win. Gage Wingard hit a double and triple and Brayden McCracken singled with two RBIs for Apollo-Ridge (4-5, 3-5).

Riverside 15, Sto-Rox 0 – Matt Santillo struck out seven in a three-inning no-hitter while Alex Weisz drove in three and Jackson Barber and Logan Young each plated a pair of runs as Riverside (4-5, 3-2) defeated Sto-Rox (0-6, 0-4) in Section 1-3A.

Seneca Valley 11, North Hills 1 – Brandon Godleski and Danny Drennan each singled, doubled and drove in a run and Quin Carney had two hits and two RBIs to lead Seneca Valley (8-5, 3-2) to a Section 1-6A win. Parker Mell gave up two hits in six innings to earn the win. Austin DeMartino singled and walked for North Hills (2-11, 1-7).

Serra Catholic 8, Southmoreland 2 – Jake Anderson went 3 for 3 with two RBIs and Max Black and Jake Jellison doubled for Serra Catholic (6-4) in a nonsection win. Gray Moyer hit two singles for Southmoreland (1-10).

South Allegheny 13, East Allegheny 0 – Caleb Jackowski went 2 for 2 with a double and four RBIs and Dillion Pomocki singled, doubled and drove in three runs to lead South Allegheny (5-5, 3-3) to a Section 2-3A win. Tanner Loya went 2 for 3 for East Allegheny (0-9, 0-7). Drew Huston gave up three hits in five scoreless innings for the Gladiators.

South Park 8, Steel Valley 0 – Cooper Hochendoner went 2 for 4 with three RBIs, William Hays went 2 for 3 with two RBIs and Andrew Mittleider singled, tripled and drove in a run to lead South Park (8-1, 6-0) past Steel Valley (4-7, 2-4) in a Section 2-3A win.

South Side 2, Riverview 1 – Cole McCoy went 2 for 3 with a triple, Ryan Shaw went 2 for 3 with an RBI and Jake Ziegler singled with an RBI for South Side (6-3, 5-2) in a Section 3-2A win. Ashton Saunders went 2 for 2 and Miles Duncan tripled for Riverview (8-3, 6-2).

Uniontown 12, Monessen 4 – Elim Martin had a double and RBI, Lane Smiley singled and had two RBIs and Ethan White drove in three runs to lead Uniontown (4-4) to a nonsection win. Nate Speicher went 2 for 3 with an RBI for Monessen (0-10).

West Mifflin 2, Ringgold 1 – Nate Fleming went 2 for 2 with a double and Eli Kurta singled and drove in a run to lead West Mifflin (9-2, 5-0) to a Section 2-4A win. Gavin Angotti and Connor David had two hits apiece for Ringgold (4-7, 3-4).

Elizabeth Forward 1, Laurel Highlands 0 – Berlyn Holibaugh struck out nine in a complete-game shutout and went 2 for 3 and Julia Resnick doubled and drove in a run to lead Elizabeth Forward (11-1, 10-0) to a Section 2-4A win. Kayla Howell hit two singles for Laurel Highlands (4-4, 4-4).

Mapletown 9, Avella 8 – Lainey Taylor went 2 for 3 with a home run and Makenna Lotspeich went 2 for 3 with two RBIs to lead Mapletown (2-7, 1-6) to a Section 2-A win. Sara Decker went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs for Avella (0-7, 0-4).

Boys volleyball

Canon-McMillan 3, Bethel Park 0 – Landon Patterson had 14 kills and seven digs, Aydin Winkelblech dished out 25 assists and Sean Walker had six blocks to lead Canon-McMillan to a Section 4-3A win. Henry Klinar added eight kills, Brayden Gough had six kills and four blocks, Dom Acquaviva handed out 13 assists and Ryan Wandera served six aces for the Big Macs.

Derry 3, Martinsburg Central 0 – Caden Marsh and Jaxon Hayes had nine kills apiece, John Kerin recorded 20 digs and Landon Campbell finished with 28 assists and four aces to lead Derry to a nonsection victory.

Keystone Oaks 3, Brentwood 2 – Brody Fingers had six kills to lead Keystone Oaks to a Section 3-2A win.

Penn-Trafford 3, Hempfield 2 – Ethan McDonald had 21 kills, Billy Spena handed out 40 assists and Billy Bratkovich recorded 13 digs for Penn-Trafford in a Section 3-3A win. Matthew Eguaoje added 15 kills and Billy Spena had nine digs for the Warriors.

Flag football

Gateway 13, Penn Hills 12 – Nyerra Reid threw a touchdown pass to Caliah Mack and Aerica Lee had a rushing score to lead Gateway to a Section 3 win. Trinity Fielder and Jordin Stubbs had passing touchdowns to Saniya Horsley and Ava Willis for Penn Hills.

Girls lacrosse

Trinity 10, Greensburg Central Catholic 4 – Myah Agmon scored four goals, Avery Powell added three, Luci Briggs had two and Kailyn Jasso had one for Trinity in a Section 1-2A win. Liv Gillis had made nine saves for the Hillers.
