For the first time in a long time, there is a new team sitting atop the WPIAL softball power rankings.
The first district loss in more than four years by Neshannock drops the Lancers out of the pole position, leaving the door open for Shaler to move up to No. 1.
Despite falling for the first time this spring to District 9 DuBois, Indiana remains on top on the baseball side of the Trib 10.
Two teams in each sport fell out of this week’s power rankings as Avonworth and Freeport replaced Blackhawk and North Allegheny in baseball and Baldwin and Bentworth break through while Canon-McMillan and West Mifflin drop out in softball.
Here are the latest power rankings for the 2026 season. Teams are listed with overall record and last week’s ranking.
