DH Ronny Simon (.385) went 3 for 4 with a double, run scored and RBI. LF Tyler Callihan (.220) went 2 for 5 with a double and a run scored. LHP Nick Dombkowski (7.64) started and went five innings, giving up four runs, three earned, on four hits. RHP Chris Devenski (0-1, 2.25) gave ip one unearned run in two innings, striking out four, to take the hard-luck loss. RHP Brandan Bidois (7.36) gave up a solo home run in one inning.

DH Omar Alfonzo (.200) went 2 for 5 with a double and a run scored. 3B Javier Rivas (.200) went 2 for 5 with two runs scored and an RBI. LHP Connor Wietgrefe (0-1, 6.08) started and was touched up for six runs on seven hits in 2⅔ innings. RHP Tyron Yulie (6.23) and RHp Emmanuel Chapman (2.84) each pitched 1⅓ scoreless innings.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 8-3) clobbered Brooklyn (Mets), 15-4. 3B Jhonny Severino (.289) went 3 for 6 with a grand slam, his second homer of the season, and a double. CF Lonnie White Jr. (.282) went 2 for 6 with a two-run homer, his third. 1B Axiel Plaz (.382) went 3 for 5 with two doubles and three RBIs. RF Shalin Polanco (.306) went 2 for 5 with two doubles, a run scored and an RBI. LF Brian SAnchez (.200) went 3 for 5 with a double, walk and two runs scored. DH Tony Blanco Jr. (.235) went 1 for 5 with a double, run scored and RBI. RHP Carlos Castillo (2.63) started and gave up two runs on six hits in 4⅔ innings. LHP Jacob Bimbi (2-0, 1.59) worked 1⅓ scoreless innings to pick up the win. RHP Owen Kellington (4.26) pitched two scoreless innings.

RHP Pitterson Rosa (4.50) recorded two outs and allowed six runs, none earned, on three hits and two walks.
