Regarding the article “Voters to decide on placing term limits on Allegheny County officials” (April 17, TribLive): 12 years? At first, I thought this was a joke. Benjamin Franklin wrote the Pennsylvania Constitution and in it limited lawmakers to one year, with no pay. Oh, how things have changed. A 12-year term is a slap in the face to every citizen, and they should be ashamed of themselves for even putting this forth.

By the way, according to OpenPayrolls.com, “Allegheny County, Pennsylvania Highest Paid Employees.” So, while the socialists in power keep giving themselves raises while increasing the citizens’ taxes, the public remains asleep at the wheel.

County execs should be the ones who wear masks. They need them for robbing the public.
