Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Stuart Skinner is scheduled to start Game 2 of his team’s first-round playoff series against the rival Philadelphia Flyers at PPG Paints Arena on Monday.

Coach Dan Muse announced Skinner’s status following an optional morning skate in Cranberry.

During Game 1, Skinner made 17 saves on 20 shots in a 3-2 home loss.

In 50 games during the regular season, Skinner had a 23-17-9 record, a 2.92 goals-against average, an .888 save percentage and two shutouts.

• The Flyers did not stage a morning skate.

• The Flyers are expected to start goaltender Dan Vladar. In Game 1, Vladar made 15 saves on 17 shots.

During the regular season, Vladar appeared in 52 games and posted a 29-14-7 record, a 2.42 goals-against average and a .906 save percentage.

• The scheduled referees are Garrett Rank (No. 7) and Kyle Rehman (No. 10), while the linespersons are Matt MacPherson (No. 83) and Travis Gawryletz (No. 67). The standby official is Jon McIsaac (No. 2).
