The Senate Democrats have refused to fund the Department of Homeland Security for over 60 days now, over their objections to ICE and Border Patrol agents enforcing the immigration laws they helped pass in Congress. This is absolutely insane behavior, especially in a time of active military conflict with a hostile, unpredictable Iranian regime.
The Biden administration essentially opened our borders to, by some estimates, over 10 million unvetted illegal immigrants, including over 600,000 known criminals, and hundreds of thousands of military aged men from nations openly hostile to the United States, including Iran. These people are here now, and instead of doing everything possible to locate, detain and deport these potential terrorists, the Democrats defunded the agencies responsible for keeping American citizens safe.
In my opinion, the Democrats care more about illegal immigrants, including violent criminals who have victimized tens of thousands of American citizens, than they do about American citizens’ safety. I think they want the illegal immigrants to remain, in the hope they will eventually become a new voting bloc, giving them power at the expense of American citizens. This is shameful behavior, and I hope people remember this in November when they cast their ballots.
