Pitt gained a new commitment for its Class of 2027 on Tuesday afternoon from Philadelphia (Roman Catholic) linebacker Walter Hudson.
Hudson announced his verbal commitment on social media platform X.

With Hudson’s addition, the Panthers now have quarterback Kevin Verpaele, running back Tyler Reid, receiver Jacob Thomas and offensive linemen Colin Urrea, all three-star prospects, pledged for 2027.
Hudson, a 6-foot-1, 215-pounder, has yet to be ranked by 247Sports.
Along with Pitt, fellow ACC programs Wake Forest, Syracuse and Duke have offered, in addition to Army, Akron, Delaware, Eastern Michigan, East Carolina, Connecticut, UMass, Temple and Florida Atlantic.
