Lauren Golebiewski went 3 for 4 with a double and four RBIs and Eva Rocha went 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI for North Catholic (8-3, 7-2). Brynn Hysong went 4 for 4 with two doubles and two RBIs and Addy Ramer went 2 for 4 with two RBIs for Blackhawk (8-1, 7-1).

Albert Gallatin 14, Mapletown 7 – Ellie Seese went 2 for 3 with three RBIs, Jenna Meyers went 3 for 4 with two RBIs and Bella Lukehart went 2 for 3 with two RBIs as Albert Gallatin (1-13, 1-12) got its first win in a nonsection game against Mapletown (3-10, 2-9).

Avonworth 8, South Fayette 5 – Alexandra Eberhardt singled, tripled and drove in two runs and winning pitcher Anna Fowler struck out 12 to lead Avonworth (7-5) to a nonsection win. Ali Linhart and Reese Long each had two hits and an RBI and Cara Kuban had two RBIs for the ‘Lopes. Liv Bonacci singled and drove in a run for South Fayette (7-8).

Beaver 10, Western Beaver 0 – Olivia Peabody went 2 for 3 with a home run and five RBIs, while Jaedyn Brown had four strikeouts over five innings to lead Beaver (6-6, 5-3) to a Section 3-4A win over Western Beaver (3-8, 1-7). Brown (2 for 2) also tripled and had an RBI for the Bobcats.

Brownsville 3, Washington 2 – Ava Clark struck out 14 over seven innings and went 1 for 3 with a double to lead Brownsville (8-4, 6-3) to a Section 4-2A win. Tavan Ternitsky doubled and had an RBI while Lena Rechichar went 2 for 3 with an RBI for the Falcons. Faith Partozoti went 1 for 3 and doubled and Mayaja Lee went 1 for 2 with two RBIs for Washington (9-5, 5-4).

Burrell 15, Armstrong 10 – Addy Wojtczak went 4 for 6 with a homer and four RBIs, Sophia Gregg singled, doubled and drove in four runs and Shelby Novak went 3 for 4 with two doubles and two RBIs to lead Burrell (9-5) to a nonsection win. Isabel Prazenica went 3 for 4 with a homer and three RBIs, Josie Porter went 3 for 4 with two doubles and an RBI and Anniston Andryka went 3 for 4 with a double and two RBIs for Armstrong (10-5).

Carmichaels 14, Beth-Center 0 – Bailey Barnyak struck out 14 over six innings, giving up one hit, as Carmichaels (10-3, 7-1) got the Section 2-A win. Kenlee Machesky went 2 for 4 with a triple and two RBIs and Giana Colarusso went 1 for 2 with a triple and two RBIs for the Mighty Mikes. Bella Stepp singled for Beth-Center (4-8, 3-6).

Charleroi 11, East Allegheny 1; Charleroi 18, East Allegheny 4 – Charleroi (5-9, 4-6) swept a Section 3-3A doubleheader from East Allegheny (1-12, 0-9). In Game 1, Lyla Brunner singled, doubled and drove in five runs and Jada Sheppick had two doubles and two RBIs for the Cougars. Mercedes Benz doubled and drove in a run for the Wildcats. In Game 2, Brunner went 4 for 4 with a double and four RBIs, Nori Stringa-Smith went 4 for 4 with a double and three RBIs and Ariahna Blouse went 3 for 4 with two doubles, a triple and two RBIs for the Cougars. Cara Kirk doubled and knocked in two runs for the Wildcats.

Connellsville 6, Peters Township 3 – Kalyn Cole tripled and had two RBIs while Cali Leichliter went 2 for 4 with two RBIs to lead Connellsville (9-6, 5-6) to a Section 4-5A win. Emery Grimes doubled and had an RBI for Peters Township (5-10, 4-8).

Deer Lakes 2, Yough 1 – Ella Thomas gave up one run on six hits in a complete-game win and Riley Jones went 2 for 3 with two doubles and an RBI to lead Deer Lakes (7-7, 3-6) to a Section 1-3A win. Brooke Kowalski (RBI) and Jaidyn Vay each went 2 for 3 with a double for Yough (11-6, 6-4).

Elizabeth Forward 11, West Mifflin 0 – Berlyn Holibaugh went 3 for 4 with a double, a home run and four RBIs to lead Elizabeth Forward (13-2, 12-0) to a Section 2-4A win over West Mifflin. Holibaugh also struck out five over five innings for the Warriors, while Hannah Evans went 2 for 3 with a home run and two RBIs.

Freeport 10, Valley 4 – Kelly Schmidt doubled and drove in three runs, Lauren Clark had a single, double and RBI and Addison Gourley had two hits and two RBIs to lead Freeport (6-7, 4-6) past Valley (1-13, 0-11) in Section 1-4A.

Gateway 15, McKeesport 3 – Brianna Banner struck out 14 in five innings, giving up three runs on three hits, to lead Gateway (5-8, 3-8) to a Section 2-5AA win. Ryley Beavin (five RBIs), Malia Clemens (three RBIs) and Banner (two RBIs) all had a home run and two hits for the Gators. Tori Thomas homered and had two RBIs for McKeesport (2-12, 0-12).

Hampton 15, Central Valley 0 – Alena Zottola went 4 for 4 with three doubles and two RBIs, Victoria Holtz went 2 for 3 with a triple and three RBIs and Eden Lawrence went 1 for 3 with one double and three RBIs as Hampton (8-3, 8-3) got the Section 3-4A win. Marissa Snyder struck out four over three innings for the Talbots. Lacey Aikens went 1 for 2 for Central Valley (3-9, 3-7).

Hempfield 17, Mt. Lebanon 2 – Winning pitcher Jaelyn Luft went 4 for 4 with four RBIs, Lauren Howard homered and drove in five runs and Emily Bozek had two hits and two RBIs to lead Hempfield (13-1, 11-0) in Section 1-6A. Dani McClinchie singled and scored for Mt. Lebanon (3-11, 3-9).

Indiana 15, Highlands 3 – Rylin Blystone went 4 for 5 with two doubles and four RBIs and Sophia Boyer went 3 for 4 with a double, homer and two RBIs to lead Indiana (11-3, 9-1) to a Section 1-4A win. Allie Valasek doubled and drove in two runs and Addy Gouza had a double and RBI for Highlands (1-11, 1-9).

Jefferson-Morgan 12, California 0 – Gabbie Marmie struck out eight in five innings and had a home run and three RBIs to fuel Jefferson-Morgan (11-3) in a shutout nonsection win. Addyson Teagarden went 3 for 4 with four RBI for the Rockets and Avery Filby went 1 for 2 for California (0-10).

Keystone Oaks 14, South Allegheny 7 – Kylie Stahl went 3 for 5 with two triples and three RBIs to lead Keystone Oaks (11-4) to a nonsection win. Kailyn Brannon (4 for 5) and Kennadi Smith (2 for 5) both doubled and had three RBIs for the Golden Eagles. Carrera Conley homered and had two RBIs for South Allegheny (11-4).

Latrobe 7, Kiski Area 5 – Natalia Scekeres homered, Maddie Morrison went 3 for 3 with a double and an RBI and Julianna Bulebosh had two hits and two RBIs to lead Latrobe (9-6, 7-5) to a Section 2-5A win. Peytan McGarry singled, tripled and drove in two runs and Dakota Rainey had a triple and an RBI for Kiski Area (11-4, 8-4).

Laurel 10, Riverside 10 – Hayden Seifert went 2 for 3 with a double, home run and five RBIs to lead Laurel (10-2, 9-2) to a Section 1-2A win. Hailey Fell went 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI for the Spartans. Addison Drake went 2 for 3 with a home run and four RBIs while Saeryn Hoover went 3 for 4 with a home run for Riverside (6-3, 6-3).

Laurel Highlands 11, Uniontown 0 – Emelia Cavaliere went 3 for 3 with two home runs and five RBIs while Payton Senge struck out 11 over five innings to lead Laurel Highlands (7-4, 7-4) to a Section 2-4A win. Liv McClelland went 3 for 3 with a double and an RBI for the Mustangs while Lauren White went 1 for 2 for Uniontown (8-5, 6-5).

Ligonier Valley 17, Belle Vernon 7 – Maggie Peters singled, homered and drove in three runs and Elyse Witcoski (double) and Abby Springer each went 3 for 4 with three RBIs to lead Ligonier Valley (4-8) to a nonsection win. Bella Dolton singled, doubled and drove in three runs for the Rams. Kaylee Sypolt homered and drove in three runs and Emily Bird went 3 for 3 with a double and three RBIs for Belle Vernon (7-9).

Mohawk 11, Quaker Valley 3 – Kaitlyn Hare belted three home runs and drove in four runs while Reagan Magno had 16 strikeouts as Mohawk (9-1, 7-0) picked up a Section 2-3A win. Lydia Cole (2 for 4) and Mylie Pistorius both had a double and two RBIs for the Warriors. Olivia Hoose drove in a run while Isabella Jarrett (2 for 2) had two doubles for Quaker Valley (2-7, 2-5).

Monessen 10, Leechburg 7 – Joey Hurst singled, doubled and drove in two runs, Mya Kelly went 2 for 3 with two RBIs and Lillie Mackey singled and drove in two runs to lead Monessen (3-7, 3-4) to a Section 3-A win. Bianca Linkes had two hits and three RBIs, Emilee Kostyak went 3 for 5 and Ava Aul had two hits and two RBIs for Leechburg (1-7, 1-5).

Mt. Pleasant 6, Frazier 5 – Carly Surma homered and drove in two runs and winning pitcher Dani Trainer hit a solo shot to lead Mt. Pleasant (12-1) to a nonsection win. Kendra Brunson singled, doubled and drove in two runs and Sadie Poole went 3 for 3 with a double for the Vikings. Grace Polkabla singled, homered and drove in three runs for Frazier (7-7).

Neshannock 16, New Brighton 1 – Callie Biondi (2 for 3) homered and had four RBIs and Lilly Cain homered and had two RBIs to lead Neshannock (9-3, 7-2) to a Section 1-2A win. Kylee Kwidis went 2 for 2 with an RBI for New Brighton (4-9, 2-9).

North Hills 15, Penn Hills 0 – Abigail Sutton pitched two no-hit innings with six strikeouts to lead North Hills (6-6, 6-5 to a Section 1-5A win over Penn Hills (0-13, 0-12). Lily Adamski tripled and had three RBIs while Kassidy Hemingway (three RBIs) and Audrianna Baumgardner (two RBIs) each doubled for the Indians.

Norwin 11, Butler 0 – Abbie Telli threw a two-hit shutout with six strikeouts, Makenna Black went 4 for 5 with a double, homer and two RBIs and Diem Wardzinski went 3 for 5 with a double and three RBIs as Norwin (8-4, 8-2) defeated Butler (1-13, 1-11) in Section 1-6A.

Oakland Catholic 9, Ringgold 3 – Addison Crummie (3 for 4) had two doubles and a triple with an RBI to lead Oakland Catholic (2-8, 2-8) to a Section 2-4A win. Karly Polanowski, Nina Hillard, Chloe Fettis, Kennedy Waffensmith and Lyla Fischer each had one hit and an RBI for the Eagles. Addy Allen went 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI for Ringgold (0-12, 0-11).

Penn-Trafford 9, Franklin Regional 1 – Julia Salvador homered and knocked in three runs and Gabriella Rubbe went 3 for 4 with two RBIs to lead Penn-Trafford (13-2, 10-1) to a Section 2-5A win. Ava Rhoten doubled and drove in a run for Franklin Regional (3-15, 3-9).

Pine-Richland 7, North Allegheny 6 – With the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh, Maya Rippole drew a walk, giving Pine-Richland (6-8, 5-7) a Section 1-6A win. Norah Cherry (two RBIs), Noelle Ionadi (3 for 4) and Ellie Myers (2 for 3) all homered for the Rams. Erin Fadgen doubled and had three RBIs for North Allegheny (4-9, 4-8).

Plum 11, New Castle 4 – Liana Yusko doubled twice and drove in three runs, Sydney Pici singled, doubled and knocked in a run and Makenzie Marotta had a double and an RBI to lead Plum (10-3, 8-3) to a Section 1-5A win. Mikayla DiGennaro homered and drove in three for New Castle (8-8, 5-7).

Seneca Valley 3, Canon-McMillan 1 – Winning pitcher Abby Kalkowski struck out 14 and helped her cause with a home run in a Section 1-6A win for Seneca Valley (11-2, 9-2). Paige Volz went 3 for 4 with a double for the Raiders, and Morgan Bumer tripled for Canon-McMillan (6-7, 5-7).

Sewickley Academy 8, OLSH 6 – Sanaa Grant went 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI and Alana Spencer went 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI to lead Sewickley Academy (6-3) to a nonsection win. Sydney Trippe went 3 for 4 with two doubles while Camryn Hummell went 2 for 3 with an RBI for OLSH (6-7).

Shaler 21, Mars 5 – Peyton Nichols went 3 for 3 with a double and three RBIs, Haley Machajewski went 1 for 3 with a double and three RBIs and Alyssa Schaffold went 2 for 4 with three RBIs as Shaler (14-1, 12-0) cruised to a Section 1-5A win. Alyson Mazurek doubled and had three RBIs for Mars (2-10, 2-9).

South Park 7, McGuffey 2 – Grace Kempton homered and had two RBIs while Sydney Sekely had 14 strikeouts over seven innings to lead South Park (13-0, 10-0) to a Section 3-3A win. Lyla Pacifico doubled and had two RBIs for the Eagles. Kali Franks went 2 for 3 and homered and Sidney Dobrynski doubled for McGuffey (6-4, 6-3).

South Side 22, Bishop Canevin 2; South Side 13, Bishop Canevin 1 – South Side (9-6, 8-3) swept a Section 1-A doubleheader with Bishop Canevin (5-7, 3-5). In Game 1, Ariel Poelcher (two doubles, five RBIs), Brooke McNary (five RBIs) and Emma DeLong (three RBIs) all homered for the Rams, who had 20 hits. Lia Pilarski went 2 for 2 with an RBI for the Crusaders (5-6, 3-4). In Game 2, Maddison Morrow homered and had three RBIs, Maya Ringhoff had nine strikeouts and Emma DeLong doubled and had two RBIs for the Rams. Macie McClain doubled for the Crusaders (5-7, 3-5).

Thomas Jefferson 9, Bethel Park 1 – Aubrey Shaffer pitched a complete game, striking out seven and giving up one run on six hits, to lead Thomas Jefferson (11-2, 10-1) to a Section 4-5A win. Jemma Danko went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double and three RBIs. Adalina Bracco and Sophie Janosko both tripled and drove in a run for the Jaguars. Madison Timms had an RBI for Bethel Park (5-11, 2-8).

Trinity 4, Baldwin 0 – Alexa Zawacki homered and had three RBIs and Maddie Ray struck out 14 as Trinity (13-3, 8-3) shut out Baldwin (12-2, 10-1) in Section 4-5A play. Avery Herrington went 1 for 3 with a double for Baldwin.

Union 10, West Middlesex 1 – Olivia Williams went 3 for 5 with a double and four RBIs while Korynne Shannon struck out eight over seven innings to give Union (12-1) the nonsection win. Lila Kimmel homered for West Middlesex (8-4).

Upper St. Clair 6, Moon 3 – Millie Wright went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs while Alexa Demas doubled and drove in a run to lead Upper St. Clair (6-7, 4-5) to a Section 3-5A win. Sydney Ray doubled and knocked in two runs for Moon (6-9, 4-6).

West Allegheny 6, Hopewell 0 – Claire Patterson threw a four-hit shutout, Autumn Cischke went 2 for 3 with a home run and Marissa Palaima went 2 for 3 with a double and RBI to lead West Allegheny (9-2) past Hopewell (3-7) in a nonsection game.

Allderdice 12, Bishop Canevin 7 – Lukas Stead (four RBIs), Kingston Mankoski (three RBIs), Noah Landi (two RBIs) and Chris Graves (two RBIs) homered to lead Allderdice (6-7) to a nonsection win. Jackson Maddix went 3 for 4 with a double, homer and three RBIs and Brooklyn Harvey went 3 for 4 with a homer for Bishop Canevin (4-8).

Beaver 7, Hickory 0 – Maddox Tanner, Josh Derringer and Jackson Reese combined on a one-hit shutout for Beaver (9-4) in a nonsection win, Derringer went 2 for 2 with a double and four RBIs, Tanner singled and doubled and Junior Marino tripled for the Bobcats.

Belle Vernon 12, Charleroi 2 – Connor Bergman homered twice, Zach Plymire singled, homered and drove in four runs and Jesse Sobczak doubled and knocked in two runs to lead Belle Vernon (9-3) to a nonsection win. Jaxson Klinger had two hits and an RBI for Charleroi (5-7).

Brentwood 11, Springdale 1 – Tyler McDonald singled, doubled and drove in a run, Michael O’Leary had a double and an RBI and Blaize Dias singled and knocked in two runs to lead Brentwood (3-7, 2-6) to a Section 3-2A win. Luke Bramson doubled twice and Wyatt Warywoda doubled and drove in a run for Springdale (2-10, 0-8).

Butler 6, Central Catholic 4 – Blake Scott doubled, homered and drove in five runs and Trent Best doubled and tripled for Butler (11-3, 6-2) in a Section 1-6A win. Ray Trovato went 2 for 3 with a homer and three RBIs for Central Catholic (6-9, 5-6).

Derry 10, Greensburg Salem 9 – Anthony Sacco went 3 for 4 with a double and four RBIs, including the walk-off RBI single, to lift Derry (7-7, 4-4) to a 3-4A win. Cason Long tripled and drove in a run and Donovan Trimble had three hits and two RBIs for the Trojans. Brody Chismar had three hits and three RBIs and Noah Mutansky had three hits and drove in one run for Greensburg Salem (1-11, 0-8).

Knoch 1, Indiana 0 – Hunter Lang and Mason Keller combined on a four-hit shutout as Knoch (10-5, 5-3) earned a split in a two-game Section 3-4A series. Dante Pelloni had two of Knoch’s three hits. Hard-luck losing pitcher Sullivan Vanhoose struck out 10 for Indiana (10-2, 7-1).

Ligonier Valley 4, Yough 3 – Noah Knupp drove in the winning run with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh to lift Ligonier Valley (6-7, 3-5) to a Section 3-3A win. Miles Smith (two RBIs) and Gavin Moore (RBI) each had two hits for the Rams. Nate Bell had two hits and an RBI and Ethan Yuvan singled and drove in a run for Yough (8-5, 4-4).

Quaker Valley 8, Riverside 7 – Holden Kirkham hit a two-run double to tie the score and Rafe Furfari delivered the walk-off RBI single to lead Quaker Valley (5-6, 3-4) to a Section 1-3A win. Todd Kagle drove in three runs for the Quakers. Jackson Barber went 4 for 4 with a double, triple and three RBIs for Riverside (7-6, 5-3).

South Park 8, South Allegheny 1 – Jacob Raimondi went 3 for 4 with an RBI, William Hays and Johnny Paris each drove in two runs and winning pitcher Robert Lenzi struck out eight to lead South Park (13-1, 8-0) to a Section 2-3A win. Caleb Jackowski had three hits for South Allegheny (6-8, 3-5).

Valley 9, Highlands 4 – Brady Moore singled, doubled and drove in four runs and Dante and Dimitri Taliani each had two hits and an RBI to lead Valley (12-3, 7-1) to a Section 3-4A win. Beckham Ochoa singled, doubled and drove in two runs for Highlands (2-12, 1-7).

Waynesburg 1, McGuffey 0 – Jarrett Tretinik threw a four-hit shutout with four strikeouts and Lucas Slifko drove in the game’s only run to lead Waynesburg (4-9, 4-4) to a Section 4-3A win. Preston Hornak doubled for McGuffey (5-9, 3-5).

Girls lacrosse

Pine-Richland 15, North Allegheny 6 – Cate Gentile had five goals and two assists, Mallory Boivin added three goals and Claire Mill and Lily Meehleib each scored twice to lead Pine-Richland to a Section 2-3A win. Gianna Petzuk, Meg Dzialowski and Sophia Herndon also scored and Cara Murray made four saves for the Rams.

Peters Township 22, Baldwin 3 – Julie Platt scored seven goals and Sia Spanos, Dana Anderson and Layney O’Brian added three goals apiece to lead Peters Township to a Section 1-3A win.
