Four people were shot, one fatally, at a bar in Armstrong County early Sunday morning, according to state police.
Police responded to the shooting at Niki’s Quick Six in Parks Township shortly after 1 a.m.
According to state police, Jessica Lynn Hilliard, 34, of Apollo was found dead at the scene.
The accused shooter, David Dunmire, 36, of Vandergrift remained on the scene and was taken into custody without incident, state police said.
Rebecca Boston, 24, of McIntyre was found at the scene and taken to a hospital, where she is in critical condition, state police said.
Two men — Hector Saballos, 34, and Dominik Dellach, 25, both of Vandergrift — had left the scene before state police arrived. They are in stable condition, state police said.
State police said they determined that a physical altercation occurred in the parking lot outside Niki’s Quick Six, after which Dunmire produced a firearm and fired multiple rounds.
Armstrong County Coroner Brian K. Myers pronounced Hilliard dead at the scene. He ruled her death a homicide.
State police consulted with Armstrong County District Attorney Katie Charlton, who approved criminal homicide charges against Dunmire.
Niki’s is a popular restaurant/bar/takeout place in the township’s North Vandergrift neighborhood. Owner Niki Hosack declined to comment.
State police said an investigation is ongoing.
