The 2026 WPIAL softball playoff field is nearly complete with 71 teams having punched a ticket for the upcoming district playoffs.

The top four teams in each section qualify for the postseason from Class 5A down. In Class 6A, the top six teams clinch a WPIAL playoff berth.

If there is a tie for the final playoff spot in any section, all of the tied teams advance if they split their head-to-head meetings.

Coverage of the 2026 WPIAL softball playoffs here on TribHSSN.TribLive.com starts with the brackets being unveiled during the WPIAL Softball Playoff Pairings Show on May 7.

Here is the latest list of teams that earned district playoff berths, along with playoff scenarios through Sunday.
