Former Pittsburgh Penguins forward Dominik Uher has signed a two-year contract with Lowen Frankfurt of Germany’s Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL).
That team announced the transaction with a release on Tuesday.
A native of Czechia, the 32-year-old Uher spent this past season playing for Kolner Haie, also of the DEL. In 36 games, he scored five points (one goal, four assists).
In total, the left-handed Uher has spent the past eight seasons in the DEL, including seven campaigns with the Fischtown Pinguins.
The Penguins drafted Uher in the fifth round (No. 144 overall) in the 2011 NHL Draft. He spent four seasons with the organization, appearing in two NHL games over that span, with no points, each during the 2014-15 season.
