This is a very noteworthy edition of the weekly Trib 10 as we have a new No. 1 in baseball for the first time this season and a traditional softball power has dropped from the power rankings.

With section losses to Knoch and Valley this past week, reigning district and state Class 4A champion Indiana falls from the top spot, allowing for Butler to take over at No. 1 as only the second team on top all season.

Also, decade-long power-ranked team Neshannock fell out of the top spot in softball two weeks ago, and now the Lancers have fallen out of the Trib 10 for the first time since 2021.

It also was a rough week for Baldwin as both the baseball and softball teams dropped out of the power rankings.

As far as the top softball team, that remains Shaler at No. 1.

Here are the latest power rankings. Teams are listed with overall record and last week’s ranking.

These weekly rankings have zero classification boundaries.
