Leetsdale official want to hear from residents and visitors about what they would like to see at the borough boat launch and riverfront.

The borough partnered with the consulting firm Pashek MTR last year to create a master site plan for the area.

Data collection began in September.

The public launch into the Ohio River from the industrial park was reopened a few months ago following a restoration project.

Consultants are expected to deliver a short presentation on its findings so far and engage in a dialogue to further develop the plan.

A completion date for the plan has not been announced.

The community meeting is set for 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the borough building, 373 Beaver St.

Council President Maria Napolitano is hoping for a big turnout.

“It will be an interactive session and a discussion, and everybody’s invited,” she said. “This public meeting is an important component of putting (the plan) together. Everybody should have their voices heard.”

Upgrades discussed at recent council meetings include adding benches and new restrooms.

Its parking lot is expected to be repaved this year.

Further site development might involve easements and some coordination with industrial park businesses.

“This is why we need public input so we know what the community wants,” Napolitano said.

No registration is required. Light refreshments will be provided.
