Community Revitalization of West Newton will sponsor a free touch-a-truck event from noon to 2 p.m. May 9 in the parking lot of West Newton Elementary School, 1208 Vine St. Reservations required. Festival
Blacksmith Hammer In and Plow Days Festival, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 2 and 3 at Fort Allen Antique Farm Equipment Association Inc., 911 Porter Ave., East Huntingdon. Rain or shine. There will be demonstrations, children’s activities, a flea market, craft vendors, a model train display, food and tractor parades. Free admission. Details:faafea.org.
Fundraisers
• St. Bartholomew Parish will have its monthly Las Vegas bingo May 1 in the church Marian Hall, 2538 Route 119, Crabtree. Doors open at 5 p.m., and early birds start at 6:30 p.m. Food from The Lunch Lady food truck will be available. Cost: $35, includes specials with over $8,000 available in prize money.
• Garage sale and bake sale, 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 2 at Maplewood United Presbyterian Church, 108 Woodland Road, Hempfield. Sponsored by Greensburg Philanthropic Educational Organization. Proceeds will benefit educational scholarships for women.
• Beatles tribute group A Hard Day’s Night will perform a concert to benefit Scottdale Public Library at 7 p.m. May 9 at Geyer Performing Arts Center, 111 Pittsburgh St., Scottdale. Admission: $30. Tickets: geyerpac.com.
• Indoor/outdoor spring craft and vendor show, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 2 at St. John the Evangelist Church, 306 St. John Drive, Latrobe. Food will be available.
• Rummage sale, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 1 and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 2 at Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, 1570 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon. Food will be sold. Proceeds will benefit the Blessed Bundles outreach ministry.
• Clothing sale, 9:30 to 11 a.m. May 2 at Olive Branch Baptist Church, 296 Route 981, Rostraver. Donations of clean, used clothing in black plastic bags are welcome and can be placed on the porch at the rear of the building. Profits are used to help those in need.
• Jeannette American Legion will host bingo at 1 p.m. May 3 at the post, 109 S. Fifth St. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. Cost: $25 per packet, includes regular and special games. There will be a $750 jackpot game, magic number, door prizes and 50-50. The kitchen will be open. Smoke-free venue. Proceeds benefit veterans and community activities. Details: Rick, 724-600-5061.
