The 2026 WPIAL baseball playoff field is almost finalized with only one day remaining and 71 teams having clinched.
The top four teams in each section qualify for the playoffs with all tied teams advancing if they split their head-to-head meetings.

• Peters Township, Trinity and Upper St. Clair all enter Tuesday tied for fourth place with a section record of 5-6. On Tuesday, Upper St. Clair is at Chartiers Valley, Trinity visits Moon and Peters Township hosts South Fayette. If they all win, there would be a four-way tie for third place with Bethel Park at 6-6. If that happens, Bethel Park and Upper St. Clair would be 4-2 against the three other tied teams and BP would finish third. Then it goes back to head-to-head and USC would be fourth. If they all lose, Upper St. Clair would win the tiebreaker against Trinity and Peters Township and finish fourth.
