There is a three-way tie between Peters, Trinity and Upper St. Clair for fourth place entering the final day of section play.

Colin Stofik went 3 for 4 with a homer and two RBIs and David Oberschelp doubled and plated two runs for Peters (9-9, 5-6). RJ Borgesi doubled and had three RBIs, Cody Bungert doubled twice and brought home two runs and Colt Cloherty doubled and drove in a run for the Lions (10-8, 7-4).

Trinity 10, Moon 4 – Derek Falvo went 2 for 3 with a double and three RBIs, winning pitcher Karson Hathaway went 4 for 4 with a pair of doubles and knocked in two and Ayvari Chandler doubled and plated a run as Trinity (10-9, 5-6) toppled Moon (14-4, 8-3) in Section 2-5A. Owen Amey doubled for the Tigers.

Upper St. Clair 4, Chartiers Valley 1 – Maximillian Dietrick gave up one unearned run on three hits and struck out three while Nolan Wilson went 2 for 3 with a double as Upper St. Clair (9-7, 5-6) defeated Chartiers Valley (5-12, 3-8) in Section 2-5A. Drake Steading and Jackson Schultz each doubled for the Colts.

Apollo-Ridge 4, Highlands 2 – Zac Myers and Noah Stewart each had two hits and an RBI and winning pitcher Gage Wingard struck out six in six innings and drove in a run to lead Apollo-Ridge (10-7) to a nonsection win. Aiden Cale singled and scored for Highlands (5-14).

Aquinas Academy 7, Rochester 2 – Jonah Burchill doubled and drove in a run, Ian Patterson went 2 for 4 with a double and Tim Crawford got the win as Aquinas Academy (8-5, 4-5) rolled Rochester (4-8, 3-6) in Section 2-A. Devin Woodley clubbed a solo home run and Andrew Miller doubled and knocked in a run for the Rams.

Beaver 4, North Catholic 1 – Winning pitcher Jackson Reese tripled and brought home three runs and Maddox Tanner also tripled and finished with an RBI as Beaver (12-5, 8-3) defeated North Catholic (5-11, 3-8) in Section 1-4A. Matthew Madonna went 3 for 4 with a double for the Trojans. With Blackhawk losing to Hopewell, the Bobcats took sole possession of first place with one more section game left for both teams.

Belle Vernon 3, West Mifflin 2 – Vito Francia drove in a run and Ian Porter got the win as Belle Vernon (13-3, 9-2) beat West Mifflin (12-6, 8-3) in the battle for second place in Section 2-4A. Chase Maggio doubled for the Titans.

Bentworth 8, Albert Gallatin 4 – Cameron Krejci and Clint Havanis each collected two hits and three RBIs and winning pitcher Sam Wade doubled and knocked in a run to lead Bentworth (6-10) to a nonsection win. Kaiden Brady-Bosley had two RBIs for Albert Gallatin (1-17).

Brashear 16, Perry Traditional Academy 1 – Henry Simcox went 3 for 3 with three doubles and four RBIs, Justin Huber singled, tripled and drove in a run and Max Reed and Zaedyn Freeman each had a double and an RBI for Brashear (7-6, 3-3) in a City League win. Zion Robinson went 2 for 2 with an RBI for Perry (0-9, 0-6).

California 5, Chartiers-Houston 0 – Weston Monticelli yielded five hits in a complete-game shutout while Kaden Weston went 2 for 4 with an RBI, Parker Gillen had two hits and Logan Hartley doubled for California (12-6, 9-2) in a Section 1-2A win. Parker Riggle went 3 for 3 with a pair of doubles for Chartiers-Houtson (9-8, 5-6).

Carmichaels 9, West Greene 8 – Connor Lapana doubled and brought home three runs, Elan Caldwell plated two and Dominic Yazzani got the win as Carmichaels (7-9, 6-5) scored eight runs in the seventh to defeat West Greene (2-15, 2-9) in Section 1-A. Jackson Grimes homered and knocked in three runs while Dylan Hughes, Darren Knight and Levi Yeater each had an RBI for the Pioneers, who rallied for five runs in the bottom of the seventh.

Central Valley 6, Hampton 2 – Blake Heater went 4 for 4 with a pair of doubles and three RBIs and Brandon Woelfel got the win as Central Valley (5-12, 4-7) beat Hampton (9-9, 4-7) in Section 1-4A.

Connellsville 18, Greensburg Salem 8 – Keegan Lott doubled and drove in two runs, Xander Newmeyer went 2 for 2 with three RBIs and Jayden Mickens and Wade Bryner each doubled and drove in a run to lead Connellsville (9-10) to a nonsection win. Brady Gillott singled, doubled and drove in three runs and Anthony Matthews had a double and two RBIs for Greensburg Salem (2-13).

Elizabeth Forward 11, Uniontown 1 – Winning pitcher JB Crovak gave up one run on four hits and fanned 12 in 6 ⅔ innings and went 3 for 4 at the dish with a pair of RBIs as Elizabeth Forward (12-6, 10-1) crushed Uniontown (9-9, 4-7) to clinch at least a share of the Section 2-4A title. Daniel Spence knocked in three runs and Jack Crovak doubled twice and plated a run for the Warriors. Elim Martin drove in the lone run for the Red Raiders.

Fort Cherry 11, Burgettstown 6 – Colton Temple went 3 for 4 with two home runs and four RBIs, Nate Wolfe went 2 for 4 with a home run and drove in two runs and Ben Demascal doubled and plated a run a Fort Cherry (16-0, 11-0) beat Burgettstown (7-10, 5-6) in Section 1-2A. Matt Bredel homered, doubled and brought home three for the Blue Devils. Dylan Lueck got the win for the Rangers.

Frazier 7, Beth-Center 1 – Winning pitcher Nick Porter yielded one run on four hits and struck out 10 in 6 ⅔ innings and doubled and brought home three runs to lead Frazier (8-9, 4-7) to a Section 1-2A win. Brant Alekson went 3 for 3 with a double and a pair of RBIs and Noah Bachinski doubled and plated a run for the Commodores. Gavin Cherup went 2 for 3 with an RBI for Beth-Center (1-15, 1-10).

Freeport 12, Southmoreland 2 – Owen Westendorf struck out nine in six innings while Gavin Tola went 4 for 5 with a double and four RBIs and Gage Blystone and Danny King each knocked in two to lead Freeport (16-0, 11-0) to a Section 3-3A win. Peyton Bann doubled and drove in a run for Southmoreland (1-17, 0-11).

Greensburg Central Catholic 16, Mapletown 0 – Anthony Grippo homered, doubled and drove in six runs, Stephen Kochis went 2 for 4 with four RBIs and winning pitcher Tyler Samide tripled and knocked in two as Greensburg Central Catholic (13-0, 11-0) rolled to a Section 1-A win. Carson Vanata had the only hit for Mapletown (3-16, 0-11). Tommy Stilley had two RBIs for the Centurions.

Indiana 4, Armstrong 3 – Winning pitcher Charlie Manzi smacked a walk-off double to lead Indiana (13-3) to a nonsection win. Manzi finished 3 for 4 with a pair of RBIs and Sullivan VanHoose doubled and drove in a run for the Indians. Garrett Brumbaugh doubled and knocked in two for Armstrong (4-14).

Keystone Oaks 10, Washington 1 – Nate Rohe yielded one run on two hits and struck out 11 in seven innings while Tony Liebro went 2 for 4 with three RBIs as Keystone Oaks (8-9, 6-5) took care of Washington (8-11, 4-7) in Section 4-3A. Travon Moye drove in the lone run for the Prexies. Shane Falcone and Brady McDine each knocked in a run for the Eagles.

Kiski Area 12, Penn Hills 2 – Andrew Varner and Henry Krogh each doubled and drove in two runs and Zach Hald went 3 for 4 with an RBI to lead Kiski Area (5-10, 4-7) to a Section 1-5A win. Anthony Sipple singled and doubled for Penn Hills (1-13, 0-11).

Laurel 17, Northgate 0 – Kolton Carlson went 2 for 3 with a home run and drove in three runs while Jack Brest, Jacob McBride and Ryan Michaels each finished with three RBIs as Laurel (9-6, 8-3) thumped Northgate (3-10, 2-9) in Section 2-2A. Noel Aranda had the only hit for the Flames. Luca Santini doubled and brought home two runs and Connor Mackrell got the win for the Spartans.

Leechburg 19, Summit Academy 1; Leechburg 15, Summit Academy 0 – Leechburg (9-5, 7-3) swept Summit Academy (2-11, 0-10) in a Section 2-A doubleheader. In Game 1, Cameron Shimer struck out six in three no-hit innings, Dylan Kapalka went 3 for 4 with a double and four RBIs and Jaxon Vargo tripled and drove in three runs for the Blue Devils. In Game 2, Rocco Vigna threw four no-hit innings with eight strikeouts, Vargo went 4 for 4 with a triple and four RBIs and Mason Bertino went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs for Leechburg.

Mars 7, Shaler 3 – Tyler Renneneck went 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs while Jameson Garvin and Timmy Joos each doubled and plated a run to lead Mars (7-11, 4-5) to a Section 3-5A win. Evan Yeckel finished with two RBIs for Shaler (4-14, 1-8). Braden Schmitt got the win for the Fightin’ Planets.

Mohawk 4, Ambridge 1 – Chase Weisz doubled and finished with two RBIs, Vinny Pezzuolo went 3 for 3 with a double and an RBI and Tyler Howarth got the win as Mohawk (14-4) defeated Ambridge (7-9) in a nonsection matchup. Joe Leseiko doubled for the Bridgers.

Montour 5, Knoch 3 – Zachary Ciamacco had two hits and two RBIs and Michael Ivanoff had two hits and one RBI to lead Montour (13-5) to a nonsection win. Gavin Foley pitched five scoreless innings, allowing one hit, to earn the win. Matteo Weber threw 1⅓ scoreless for the save. Cooper Allison had two hits and an RBI for Knoch (12-7).

Mt. Pleasant 5, Ligonier Valley 1 – Colten Keefer drove in two runs, Ian Shipley went 2 for 3 with an RBI and winning pitcher Jordan Grieff collected two hits as Mt. Pleasant (11-7, 8-3) defeated Ligonier Valley (9-9, 5-6) in Section 3-3A. Gavin Moore knocked in the lone run for the Rams.

Neshannock 11, New Brighton 9 – Denny Joseph yielded three runs, one earned, on six hits and struck out 10 in six innings while Nathan Rickel tripled and knocked in two runs and Hayden Tatterson doubled and drove in a run as Neshannock (16-2, 9-2) outdueled New Brighton (7-7, 6-5) in Section 2-2A. Dom Pasquale and Casey Bloom each had two RBIs for the Lions. Ryan Cameron picked up a save for the Lancers.

Pine-Richland 16, New Castle 1 – Austin Cwynar homered twice and had five RBIs, Ben Husted went 3 for 4 with a double and drove in five while Logan Plummer and Kyler Bell each had two RBIs as Pine-Richland (13-5, 9-0) cruised to a Section 3-5A win. Carlo DeSalvo drove in the lone run for New Castle (10-8, 3-6). Carson King earned the win for the Rams.

Quaker Valley 17, Sto-Rox 0 – Brody Zyroll threw a three-inning no-hitter with seven strikeouts, Brad Semonik doubled and drove in two runs, Todd Kagle had a single, double and two RBIs and Kolton Johnson tripled and knocked in a run to lead Quaker Valley (8-8, 5-5) past Sto-Rox (0-14, 0-9) in Section 1-3A.

Cole Vogel and Santillo each doubled and drove in a run for the Panthers.

Seton LaSalle 7, McGuffey 3 – Reggie Lonero and Sebastian Norkevicius knocked in two runs apiece and Anthony LoCastro doubled and drove in a run to support winning pitcher Mike Cejrowski as Seton LaSalle (13-2, 10-1) beat McGuffey (6-11, 4-7) in Section 4-3A. Preston Hornak homered and had two RBIs for the Highlanders.

Shady Side Academy 7, Burrell 5 – Leland Wilson and Rhett Brush each drove in a run in the seventh to lift Shady Side Academy (10-7) past Burrell (9-8) in nonsection play. David Dillon doubled and plated a run and Torben Clark got the win for the Bulldogs. Rayden Shirey and Parker Logut each had two RBIs and Ryan Wass drove in a run for the Bucs.

Shenango 6, Freedom 0 – Jonathan Santangelo struck out seven and gave up three hits in a complete-game shutout and Jack Kielar drove in three runs to power Shenango (11-7, 7-4) to a Section 2-2A win over Freedom (7-10 7-4). Trey Ross tripled and Jakob Kamerer doubled for the Wildcats.

South Allegheny 15, McKeesport 0 – Winning pitcher Dillion Pomocki struck out eight while Caleb Jackowski doubled and drove in two and Owen Werner doubled and had an RBI as South Allegheny (9-9) blanked McKesport (1-15) in nonsection play. Brayden Ross doubled for the Tigers.

South Side 14, Brentwood 11 – Ryan Shaw doubled twice and knocked in four runs, Andrew Corfield went 3 for 4 with a pair of triples and three RBIs and Todd Matijevich got the win as South Side (13-3, 9-2) beat Brentwood (4-12, 2-9) in Section 3-2A. Michael O’Leary and Blaize Dias each doubled and drove in a run as the Spartans scored seven runs in the seventh, but had their rally fall short.

South Park 13, Baldwin 7 – Winning pitcher Cooper Hochendoner went 3 for 4 with a home run and four RBIs, Ryan Spitznagel homered and drove in three and Andrew Mittleider doubled and knocked in a run for South Park (14-4) in a nonsection win. Logan Siefert finished with three RBIs while Dan Brown and Gavin Stock each plated a run for Baldwin (11-6).

Thomas Jefferson 5, Norwin 0 – Bryce Butler and Noah Sear combined on a four-hit shutout, Calvin Caterino had two hits and Josh Chalovich singled and drove in two runs to lead Thomas Jefferson (15-4) to a nonsection win. Tristyn Tavares had two hits for Norwin (12-7).

West Allegheny 6, Fox Chapel 5 – Winning pitcher Brandon Boyce homered and drove in a pair of runs, Jack Sekelik plated three and Brysan Zirwas doubled and knocked in a run as West Allegheny (11-6, 6-3) edged out Fox Chapel (10-7, 4-5) in Section 3-5A. Tristan Blum tripled and had an RBI for the Foxes. Danny Sorenson picked up a save for the Indians.

Yough 10, Deer Lakes 0 – Winning pitcher Nate Bell tossed five shutout innings, allowing two runs and striking out five, and went 2 for 3 at the plate with a triple, a double and an RBI to lead Yough (9-7, 5-6) to a Section 3-3A win. Aidan Shaffer knocked in two runs while John Steban and Vann Chopp each plated a run for the Cougars. Brady Plummer and Andrew Connelly each had a hit for Deer Lakes (5-14, 3-8).

Apollo-Ridge 16, Northgate 0 – Julie Bertino went 3 for 3 with a double and two RBIs, Jocelyn Snyder went 1 for 1 with a double and three RBIs and Apollo-Ridge (8-5, 7-3) put up a 13-run second inning in its shutout of Northgate (0-10, 0-8) in Section 2-2A. Mikaila Ditty struck ouit five in three innings for the Vikings.

Avonworth 19, Serra Catholic 2 – Brooke Aufman went 3 for 4 with three RBIs, Ali Linhart doubled and plated three while Alexandra Sacatt, Linnea Zmuda and Natalie D’Ambrosio each had an RBI as Avonworth (10-7) crushed Serra Catholic (11-5) in nonsection play. Winning pitcher Anna Fowler tossed 5⅓ shutout innings, gave up one hit and fanned 11 for the Antelopes.

Baldwin 4, Canon-McMillan 0 – Ava Bonacci tripled and batted in a run, Camryn Temme singled and had an RBI and Mackenzie Bowen went 2 for 4 as Baldwin (14-4) got the nonsection win. Melina Defelice struck out three and walked one across five innings for the Highlanders. Sophie Carl went 2 for 3 for Canon-McMillan (7-10).

Beaver 11, Ambridge 1 – Jaedyn Brown had eight strikeouts over six innings to lead Beaver (8-7, 7-4) to a Section 3-4A win. Rhiannon Rabassi tripled and had two RBIs, and Abby Hojdila and Bridget Mayo both doubled and had two RBIs for the Bobcats. Caylin Fedora singled for Ambridge (0-13, 0-12).

Beaver 12, Western Beaver 6 – Winning pitcher Olivia Peabody finished with four RBIs, Cali Coups went 4 for 5 with an RBI and Alexa Thomas doubled as Beaver (8-7, 7-4) doubled up Western Beaver (5-10, 3-9) in Section 3-4A. Bella Colatriano tripled and had an RBI for the Golden Beavers.

Bentworth 11, West Greene 0 – Sydney Gonglik fanned 11 in a five-inning no-hitter and went 2 for 4 at the plate with a pair of home runs to lead Bentworth (17-1) to a nonsection win against West Greene (11-6). Kendal Nehls drove in a run for the Red Raiders. Halle Parfitt got the win for the Falcons.

Elizabeth Forward 10, Thomas Jefferson 6 – Sophie Pasinsky and winning pitcher Berlyn Holibaugh each homered and drove in three runs, Hannah Evans also homered and knocked in two while Morgan Telegdy doubled and plated a run as Elizabeth Forward (16-2) defeated Thomas Jefferson (14-3) in nonsection play. Jemma Danko doubled and brought home three runs for the Jaguars.

Lauren Howard homered, Abby Magill had three hits and Claire Mitchell singled, doubled and drove in a run for the Spartans. Natalie Scekeres homered and Sara Blossey had three hits for Latrobe (9-8).

Bailey Barnyak went 3 for 4 with a home run and an RBI and Kenlee Machesky doubled and plated a run for Carmichaels (14-4). Liv McClelland doubled and had an RBI for the Mustangs.

Monessen 4, Mapletown 3 – Winning pitcher Joey Hurst singled, doubled and drove in two runs and Grace Clingenpeel doubled to lead Monessen (6-8) to a nonsection win over Mapletown (5-11).

Montour 4, Blackhawk 3 – Caylee Moser had the go-ahead single in the bottom of the fifth to give Montour (10-5) the nonsection win. Emily McClean went 3 for 4 with a double, Hailey Staub tripled and Paige Fiedler doubled for the Spartans. Kylie Prisuta went 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI, Eva Parris doubled and had an RBI and Caylee Mosser went 2 for 2 with an RBI for Blackhawk (11-2).

Moon 1, West Mifflin 0 – Katie DeMarco tossed a complete-game shutout, striking out seven, to lead Moon (8-10) to a nonsection win. Alina McMahon (2 for 4) and Brooklyn Hall (2 for 3) both doubled for the Tigers. Rylie Dobnak doubled for West Mifflin (12-7).

Mt. Lebanon 8, Upper St. Clair 7 – Olivia Park worked a walk with the bases loaded to bring in the game-winning run to give Mt. Lebanon (7-11) the nonsection victory. Rebecca Davis went 3 for 4 with a home run and three RBIs while Lila Gaetano went 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI for the Blue Devils. Rachel Scharrer went 2 for 4 with a home run and two RBIs for Upper St. Clair (8-9).

Neshannock 15, Aliquippa 0; Neshannock 15, Aliquippa 0 Neshannock (13-5, 9-3) swept Aliquippa (0-11, 0-11) in a Section 1-2A doubleheader. In Game 1, Anna Measel threw a three-inning no-hitter with seven strikeouts, Callie Biondi homered and drove in two runs and Ella Skodak, Alivia Lambo and Addison Meredith tripled for the Lancers. In Game 2, Measel struck out eight over 2 ⅔ innings and Lilly Cain struck out one as they combined on a three-inning no-hitter. Biondi went 2 for 2 with a home run and three RBIs and Cain went 2 for 2 with a triple, a home run and two RBIs.

Neshannock 12, Harbor Creek 4 – Lilly Cain went 2 for 3 with a home run and four RBIs, Jaidon Nogay tripled, doubled and drove in two and winning pitcher Gianna Paglia struck out six in seven innings as Neshannock (13-5) defeated Harbor Creek in nonsection play to wrap up a tripleheader. Lacie Fortin doubled and plated two runs for the Huskies.

North Catholic 8, Butler 5 – Eva Rocha went 2 for 3 with a double and three RBIs, Juliana Lehman went 1 for 4 with a double and two RBIs, Kennedy Brown went 4 for 4 with two doubles and North Catholic (11-4) got the nonsection win. Kierra Smith doubled and had three RBIs for Butler (1-17).

North Hills 6, Norwin 1 – Winning pitcher Abigail Sutton had two hits and two RBIs, Audrianna Baumgartner singled, tripled and drove in two runs and Brianna Zwick had a single, double and an RBI in a nonsection win for North Hills (8-7). Miley Harrison doubled and tripled for Norwin (10-7).

OLSH 16, Shady Side Academy 1 – Mya Eshenbaugh went 3 for 4 with a double, a triple and four RBIs to lead OLSH (8-8) to a nonsection win over Shady Side Academy (3-8). Sophia Wasko went 3 for 3 with a double, triple and two RBIs, Sydney Trippe went 3 for 3 with a double and three RBIs and Camryn Hummel went 3 for 4 with two RBIs for the Chargers.

Penn Hills 10, Woodland Hills 5 – Jordin Stubbs struck out 17 across seven innings to lead Penn Hills (1-15) to a nonsection win over Woodland Hills (1-9). Miani Oliver went 2 for 3 with a triple and an RBI, Samantha Boyd had a double and two RBIs and Stubbs added two RBIs for the Indians.

Penn-Trafford 10, North Allegheny 0 – Allyson Paulone and Julia Salvador combined on a six-hit shutout, Mackenzie Cox singled, doubled and drove in a run and Salvador had two hits and four RBIs for Penn-Trafford (15-3) in a nonsection win. Zoe Rychel had two hits for North Allegheny (4-12).

Quaker Valley 10, Freedom 2 – Olivia Hoose went 1 for 2 with a home run and Gemma Wiegand went 4 for 4 with three RBIs as Quaker Valley (3-11) got the Section 2-3A win. Hoose struck out eight in seven innings for the Quakers, giving up seven hits and one run. Jordyn Moehrle and Charlotte Rywolt both went 2 for 2 for Freedom (2-10).

Ringgold 10, Oakland Catholic 1 – Annie Pelissero went 3 for 4 with a triple and a home run to lead Ringgold (1-12, 1-11) to a Section 2-4A win. Alice Ramous went 3 for 4 with a triple and an RBI while Rylee Morrison and Addy Allen both doubled and had an RBI for the Rams. Nina Hillard tripled and Natalie Waffensmith doubled for Oakland Catholic (2-10, 2-10).

Seneca Valley 7, Plum 3 – Neve Miller homered, Paige Volz went 3 for 4 with a double, triple and two RBIs and Hannah Hornick singled and knocked in two runs to lead Seneca Valley (14-3) to a nonsection win. Aubrey Maxwell tripled and drove in a run and Riley Stephans had a double and an RBI for Plum (12-5).

Shaler 15, Burrell 0 – Bria Bosiljevac gave up one hit in five innings, striking out 15, to lead Shaler (16-1) to a nonsection win. Alyssa Schaffold went 4 for 5 with a home run and four RBIs and Addy Aleski singled and homered for the Titans. Haylee Heasley had the lone hit for Burrell (10-8).

Shenango 6, Riverside 4 – Addison Downing went 3 for 3 with a home run and two RBIs and Brianna Aluisa went 1 for 3 with a home run to lead Shenango (13-5, 9-3) to a Section 1-2A win. Sydney Byerly went 2 for 4 with two RBIs for the Wildcats. Saeryn Hoover and Ava Cummings both singled and had an RBI for Riverside (8-5, 8-5).

South Allegheny 12, McKeesport 7 – Carrera Conley went 3 for 3 with a home run and two RBIs and Cadence McBride also homered to lead South Allegheny (12-6) to a nonsection win. Emma Jackson went 3 for 5 with a triple and two RBIs for the Gladiators. Ryenn Thomas went 3 for 4 with a double and Tori Thomas went 2 for 4 with an RBI for McKeesport (3-14).

South Fayette 8, Hampton 4 – Brenna Dunn went 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI, Caroline Kelly went 2 for 5 with two RBIs, Live Bonacci went 4 for 5 with an RBI and South Fayette (9-8) got the nonsection win. Emma Earley struck out two in 2⅓ innings for the Lions. Alena Zottola went 2 for 3 with an RBI for Hampton (11-5).

Trinity 12, Chartiers Valley 2 – Nina Christy went 3 for 4 with two doubles and four RBIs while Maddie Ray went 2 for 4 with a double and three RBIs to lead Trinity (17-3) to a nonsection win. Ray struck out three across two innings for the Hillers. Sadie Shomonsky had two RBIs for Chartiers Valley (2-11).

West Allegheny 5, Union 2 – Ava Benish homered, Madison Maritz drove in two runs, Autumn Cischke went 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI and West Allegheny (11-3) got the nonsection win. Claire Patterson went three innings, striking out one and walking two, for the West A. Olivia Benedict went 2 for 4 with a home run for Union (15-2).

Boys volleyball

Derry 3, Forrest Hills 0 – Caden Marsh had nine kills and Jaiden Beeman added eight to lead Derry to a nonsection win. Landon Campbell handed out 25 assists and John Kerin recorded 10 digs for the Trojans.

Canon-McMillan 3, Moon 0 – Caleb Katreeb had 12 digs, Aydin Winkelblech dished out 20 assists and Henry Klinar and Landon Patterson each finished with seven kills as Canon-McMillan swept Moon in a nonsection match.

Boys lacrosse

Mars 19, Winchester Thurston 1 – Nate Caldwell finished with six goals and two assists, Jack Tirch scored five goals and Grant Weaver had a goal and six assists to lead Mars to a Section 2-2A win.

Girls lacrosse

Mars 15, Quaker Valley 3 – Katie Blake scored four goals, Hailey Long and Tess McGrath each had three, Lucy Balazs and Anna McGrath added two apiece and Julia Lego made seven saves to lead Mars to a Section 2-2A win.

North Catholic 15, Oakland Catholic 6 – Kate Geary scored four goals, Elizabeth Long and Claire Dickson added two each and Emily Birchok made eight saves to lead North Catholic to a nonsection win.

Peters Township 22, North Allegheny 16 – Abby Yates scored six goals, Julia Platt had four and Emme Shanafelt, Layney O’Brian and Jules Leach added three each to lead Peters Township to a nonsection win.

Pine-Richland 17, South Fayette 11 – Claire Mill had seven goals and two assists, Cate Mill had four goals and two assists, Mallory Boivin had three goals, Leyton Carlson had two goals and one assist and Lily Meehleib had one goal as Pine-Richland got the nonsection win. Cara Murray made nine saves for the Rams.

Seton LaSalle 9, Winchester Thurston 7 – Riley Woods collected six goals and two assists and Faith Simon had three goals and three assists to lead Seton LaSalle to a Section 1-2A win.

Boys tennis

WPIAL team tournament – Fifth-seeded Quaker Valley knocked off No. 1 Blackhawk, 3-2, in the Class 2A semifinals, reaching Tuesday’s WPIAL championship match at 3:30 p.m. at Washington & Jefferson. The Quakers will meet No. 2 North Catholic, a 3-2 winner over Indiana.

In Class 3A, No. 1 North Allegheny swept Fox Chapel, 5-0, and No. 2 Upper St. Clair got by Mt. Lebanon, 3-2. The Tigers and Panthers will meet at 2 p.m. at W&J.
