Aidan Skalko went 2 for 3 with three RBIs to lead Beaver to a 9-5 victory over West Allegheny in nonsection baseball Wednesday.

David Corob and Marshal Smith singled and drove in two runs apiece for the Bobcats (14-5). Jack Sekelik had a triple and home run and Brody Malatak tripled and drove in a run for West A (12-7).

Bishop Canevin 9, Steel Valley 2 – Brady Wagner went 3 for 4 with two RBIs and Jackson Maddix doubled and drove in a run for Bishop Canevin (6-12) in a nonsection win. Daevon Gaynor hit a triple for Steel Valley (5-14).

Butler 10, Indiana 0 – Trent Best went 2 for 2 with a home run and three RBIs, Blake Scott doubled and drove in two runs and Mavrik Clement tripled for Butler (17-3) in a nonsection win. Jett Cuffman, Kyle Casteel and Nolan Stefaniak combined on a one-hit shutout. Shane McHugh singled for Indiana (14-4).

Fox Chapel 4, North Allegheny 3 – Milan Fluhme doubled and drove in two runs and Tyler Golembiewski and Elias George singled and drove in a run apiece for Fox Chapel (11-8) in a nonsection win. Mason Dratfinsky tripled and drove in a run for North Allegheny (11-7).

Montour 14, Quaker Valley 0 – Levi Gladu hit a three-run triple, Matteo Weber had a single and three RBIs and Dalton Young hit two singles and drove in two runs to lead Montour (14-5) to a nonsection win. Winning pitcher Michael Ivanoff struck out seven in three innings. Todd Kagle singled for Quaker Valley (8-10).

Riverside 7, Chartiers-Houston 3 – Cole Vogel had a single, double and three RBIs and Dylan Meyers went 2 for 2 with a triple and two RBIs to lead Riverside (10-7) to a nonsection win. Josh Hawkins singled and drove in a run for Chartiers-Houston (9-10).

Baldwin 8, Norwin 2 – Camryn Temme went 4 for 4 with two doubles and a home run and Reese Temme went 3 for 3 with a triple and three RBIs for Baldwin (15-4) in a nonsection win. Ayden Palmiero had an RBI double for Norwin (10-8).

Fox Chapel 16, Peters Township 1 – Bella Geller went 2 for 4 with a double and three RBIs and Ava Wamsley went 2 for 2 with a double, home run and two RBIs to lead Fox Chapel (14-5) to a nonsection win. Addie Brunette went 2 for 2 for Peters Township (5-13).

Montour 18, Mars 5 – Paige Fiedler went 3 for 5 with a double, triple and three RBIs, Natalie Ciamacco went 3 for 4 with a triple and three RBIs and Hailey Staub homered to lead Montour (12-5) to a nonsection win. Callie Simoni had a double and RBI for Mars (2-13).

Neshannock 6, Mohawk 2 – Winning pitcher Gianna Paglia doubled and drove in a run and Callie Biondi and Anna Measel had two singles and an RBI apiece to lead Neshannock (14-5) to a nonsection win. Kaitlyn Hare hit a home run and Addy Moskal had a single, double and RBI for Mohawk (14-4).

Penn-Trafford 13, Elizabeth Forward 6 – Julia Salvador went 2 for 4 with a double and three RBIs, Torrie DeStefano had a double, triple and two RBIs and Gabriella Rubbe had a single, triple and two RBIs for Penn-Trafford (17-3) in a nonsection win. Sophie Pasinsky went 2 for 4 with a home run and three RBIs for Elizabeth Forward (16-3).

Plum 18, Deer Lakes 2 – Liana Yusko had two home runs and four RBIs and Ava Bernosky, Riley Stephans, Savannah Modena and Sydney Pici also homered for Plum (13-5) in nonsection win. Siena Plummer singled and drove in a run for Deer Lakes (7-12).

Punxsutawney 14, Indiana 6 – Sara Gotwald went 3 for 3 with a double, home run and five RBIs for Punxsutawney in a nonsection win. Sophia Boyer and Daelyn Bish homered for Indiana (13-5).

Shady Side Academy 20, Ellis School 3 – Becca Schriver went 3 for 5 with a home run and three RBIs, Monique-Claire Fosung went 2 for 3 with three RBIs and Taygen Samuels had a single and three RBIs to lead Shady Side Academy (5-8) to a nonsection win. Ashley Ainsworth went 2 for 3 with a triple and two RBIs for Ellis School (0-10).

Freeport 20, Yough 6 – Sophia Glass collected seven goals and an assist, Macey Edwards had three goals and six assists and Alyssa Lovgren added three goals and an assist to lead Freeport to a nonsection win. Kiana Armstead had a goal and two assists, Sophia Patton, Aubrey Hess and Kyleigh Rogers each had a goal and an assist and Natalia Urik, Scarlett Sather and Riley Ross also scored.

Mars 20, Chartiers Valley 1 – Katie Blake scored six goals, Anna McGrath added four and Lucy Balazs had three to lead Mars to a Section 2-2A win. Reanna Schmitt and Hailey Long each had two goals and Lola Seideneck, Tess McGrath and Lily Wilson also scored.

Boys tennis

District 8-10 doubles – Barak Raz and Alex Friedman of Allderdice defeated Noah Hardesty and Gridley Wright of McDowell, 6-2, 6-0, in the championship match. Raz and Friedman reached the finals by beating Alex Rose and Gabe Beadla of Erie, 8-0, Daniel Idzik and Ben Basil of McDowell, 8-1, and Allderdice teammates Kiran Arunachalam and Will Kuchera, 10-2.

Boys volleyball

Derry 3, Mars 0 – Jaxon Hayes had nine kills and Jaiden Beeman and Caden Marsh added seven kills apiece to lead Derry to a nonsection win. John Kerin finished with five aces and 16 digs and Landon Campbell dished out 31 assists for the Trojans.
