Kitten shower planned by Animal Protectors
Animal Protectors of Allegheny Valley will sponsor a kitten shower from 12:30 to 2 p.m. May 17 at the shelter, 730 Church St., New Kensington.
Those attending are asked to bring a kitten shower gift. Most needed items include gift cards, small beds, kitten bottles, KMR Kitten Milk Replacer, kitty litter and wipes, toys, treats, canned food and kibble. Tickets on sale for Alle-Kiski Sports Hall of Fame dinner
Alle-Kiski Valley Sports Hall of Fame will have its 55th induction banquet at 7 p.m. May 16 at the Pittsburgh Shrine Center, 1887 Shriners Way, Harmar.
This year’s inductees are Billy Callahan, William Clarke, Jeff DeSantes, Dave Fortun, Crystal Heder Kosecki and Scott McKillop, Cecil Smith and Dick DeVenzio, both posthumously; the 1965 Arnold High School baseball team and the 1985 Deer Lakes High School girls basketball team. Trib Total Media will give awards to 13 student athletes.
