Forward Bill Zonnon, one of the Pittsburgh Penguins’ top prospects, signed an amateur tryout agreement (ATO) with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League for the remainder of this season on Thursday.

The Pittsburgh Penguins selected Zonnon in the first round (No. 22 overall) in the 2025 NHL Draft.

At the junior level, Zonnon, 19, just completed his season with the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada of the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League.

While he was sidelined by various injuries for much of the campaign, the left-handed Zonnon (6-foot-2, 190 pounds) was highly productive when he was in the lineup, posting 46 points (14 goals, 32 assists) in 35 regular season contests. During the postseason, Zonnon, who served as an alternate captain with the Armada, had 15 points (two goals, 13 assists) in 17 games.

Zonnon previously signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins on March 22. That contract is scheduled to begin next season and is not affected by his ATO with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
