Forward Gabe Klassen had a goal and an assist for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in a series-clinching 4-1 win against the rival Hershey Bears in Game 4 of an Atlantic Division semifinal series at the Giant Center in Hershey on Thursday.
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton won the best-of-five series, 3-1. This marks the Penguins’ first win in a postseason series since they defeated the Bears in a preliminary round in 2022.
Forwards Ville Koivunen and Joona Koppanen, as well as defenseman Harrison Brunicke, also scored goals for the Penguins.
Goaltender Sergei Murashov made 37 saves on 38 shots to improve his postseason mark to 3-1.
Penguins forward Rafael Harvey-Pinard was scratched due to an undisclosed injury.
