A woman was fatally stabbed Thursday in Penn Hills.
Allegheny County police say they got word around 9:45 p.m. of a stabbing on the 700 block of Penny Drive. By that point, the victim had already been taken to UPMC Mercy hospital in a personal vehicle.
At 10 p.m., Jinx Hairston, 45, of Penn Hills was pronounced dead, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The incident occurred roughly six hours before police were notified. Authorities have not said what caused the delay.
The investigation is ongoing.
