Defending champions North Allegheny and Shaler have been the top-ranked boys volleyball teams in the WPIAL all season.
On Friday, they received the top seeds in their respective postseason brackets.
North Allegheny (10-0) was awarded the No. 1 seed in Class 3A as it seeks a district record 24th WPIAL title. The Tigers have won five straight championships from 2017-22 and were victorious again last spring.
