When Beth Dudley of Southwest Greensburg stopped at the Crabtree Gas & Go along Route 119 while on her way to visit her parents April 21, she did what she typically does and bought a Pennsylvania Lottery ticket.

She spent $10 for Win Win Win, a new scratch-off lottery game with a top prize of $1 million.

“I always go for the newer ones,” Dudley said of her rationale for buying a ticket.

But what happened next was not typical. Dudley scratched off a $1 million winner.

She did not believe it at first, she said Friday at the store, where a Pennsylvania Lottery official handed her a ceremonial check for $1 million. The real one will arrive in about four to six weeks, said Ewa Swope, a lottery spokeswoman.

“It’s unreal. I’ve never had this kind of money,” said the 32-year-old mother of two.

Dudley said she was crying when she told her parents, who thought she was upset because her father has severe heart disease.

Maybe good karma was coming her way because she had a rough week. She got a flat tire April 20 while dropping off her 4-year-old daughter, Thea, at daycare. She had made an appointment to have the tire fixed.

Her brother, George Kennedy of Mt. Pleasant, had a premonition that her luck would change.

“I told her when you get the tire fixed, your whole world will change,” Kennedy said he told Dudley. She turned in her lottery ticket to get it certified after getting the tire fixed.

What will she do with the money after paying state and federal taxes?

“I’m going to buy a new car. It’s falling apart,” Dudley said of her 2018 car that is nearing the end of its life.

Her 16-year-old daughter, Kassie, said she has her own ideas.

“I’m going to spend it all,” Kassie said.

Thea also has her own thoughts for the family’s newfound wealth.

“She watches TV. She’s convinced she’s going to Disney World,” Dudley said.

Dudley plans to invest the money and purchase a new house in the future.

Dudley is the first winner to take home the top prize on the Win Win Win scratch-off ticket, Swope said. But she is not the first big lottery winner at the small convenience store in the Salem section of Crabtree, said store owner Tim D’Aurora.

“It’s unbelievable,” D’Aurora said, noting his store’s history of selling winning tickets.

In May 2025, D’Aurora said the store sold a $1 million scratch-off ticket. One loyal customer won $500,000 from a scratch-off ticket in November 2025; that same man, who travels home along Route 119, won about $530,000 from a ticket in February, D’Aurora said.

The store will receive a $5,000 bonus from the lottery for selling Dudley’s ticket.
