CF Will Taylor (.228) went 1 for 4 with a double and run scored. RHP Khristian Curtis (0-5, 5.59) started and allowed three runs on five hits, including a homer, in 3⅔ innings. RHP Noah Murdock (14.54) pitched two scoreless innings and RHP Emmanuel Chapman (4.85) worked a scoreless eighth.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 19-12) took care of Greenville (Red Sox), 7-1. LF Ivan Brethowr (.375) finished a single short of a cycle, going 3 for 4 with a double, triple and his first home run. He scored twice and drove in three. RF Jared Jones (.293) went 2 for 4 with his third homer. 2B Matt King (.304) went 2 for 3 with a double. DH Easton Carmichael (.333) went 1 for 5 with a double, run scored and his sixth stolen base. CF Bryan Sanchez (.198) went 2 for 4 with a run scored. RHP Carlos Castillo (5.12) started and pitched 2⅓ scoreless innings, allowing two hits and two walks with two strikeouts. RHP Treyson Peters (1-0, 4.00) came on and worked 3 ⅔ scoreless, allowing one hit with three strikeouts, to get the win. RHP Kyle Larsen gave up one hit, a solo home run, in three innings to pick up his first save.

In 28 innings over six appearances, he has allowed 13 hits and struck out 50. 3B Murf Gray (.366) went 3 for 5 with his sixth home run. DH Jhostynxon Garcia (.278), on a rehab stint, went 1 for 5 with his third homer. CF Josh Tate (.229) went 1 for 4 with his first homer. SS Eddie Rynders (.125) went 1 for 3 with his first homer. C Edgleen Perez (.298) went 2 for 3 with a walk and an RBI. 1B Richard Ramirez (.316) went 2 for 4. 2B Dylan Palmer (.262) went 1 for 4 with a double and run scored. LHP Reinold Navarro (3.71) gave up two runs on four hits in three innings, striking out six, for his first save.
