Fundraisers

• Westmoreland Heritage Trail Festival and poker run, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 6 at B-Y Park in Trafford, rain or shine. There will be food, music, beer, a basket raffle and children’s activities. Each participant in the poker run will stop at five checkpoints and choose a playing card. At the end of the run, the best hands will receive a prize. Cost: $25 by May 15, includes an event T-shirt; day of the event, $30. Proceeds will be used for trail maintenance and improvements. Details: westmoreland heritagetrail.com.

Jeannette Knights of Columbus hosts bingo at 7 p.m. Fridays in Mersinger Hall at Ascension Church, 615 Division St., Jeannette. Doors open at 6 p.m. and early birds begin at 6:30 p.m. Players younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Smoke-free venue. Food will be available and there will be a 50-50 and instant bingos. • A fundraiser to benefit the Irwin Senior Activity Center will be from 5 to 9 p.m. May 14 at Five Guys, 8957 Route 30, North Huntingdon. Twenty percent of sales will be donated.

• Dinner with the Therapy Dogs fundraiser, 5 to 9 p.m. June 12 at Stratigos Banquet Center, 131 Colonial Manor Road, North Huntingdon. The gala will include appearances by members of the Top Dog Therapy team, a buffet dinner, cork pull, photo booth, DJ, cash bar and 50-50. Must be 21. Ticket deadline: May 20. Cost: $75. Meetings

• South Hills Coin Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. May 12 at the Bethel Park Municipal Building, 5100 W. Library Ave. There will be a 50-50 raffle and prizes for children. The program will be an alternative hobby night. Public welcome. Details: 724-984-6611.

• The Westmoreland County/Laurel Highlands chapter of the American Field Service high school student exchange program will have the last meeting of the school year at 7 p.m. May 11 at the One Room Schoolhouse, on the grounds of AK Hutchinson Elementary School, 810 Welty St., Southwest Greensburg. Students from Slovakia and Bolivia will present a program and serve refreshments. Host families are needed for the 2026-27 school year. • The Greensburg Art Center will meet at 7 p.m. May 11 at the center, 230 Todd School Road, Hempfield. Brian Ferrell, a professor at Seton Hill University, will present a program about 3D printing. Public welcome.

Senior citizen news

• Irwin Senior Activity Center, 310 Oak St., will have a program at 10 a.m. May 12 about ways to stay healthy. Bring a finger food for the appetizer lunch. Items must be prepared, cut and ready to be put on the table. Lunch signups required. A program about dementia will be at 11:30 a.m. May 14. Registration for events and lunch required at least one day in advance. Donations are accepted for all activities. Details: 724-787-1760.
