Two men were injured in an early-morning stabbing Sunday in Pittsburgh’s South Side neighborhood, police said.

The incident comes amid an uptick in crime in the city’s largest entertainment district.

Pittsburgh police said they were dispatched shortly after 3 a.m. for a fight near the intersection of East Carson and South 18th streets.

One man was stabbed in the cheek, police said. First responders took him to an area hospital in stable condition.

Police said a second man was taken to the hospital for a hand injury.

Police did not name either victim. A spokeswoman Sunday declined comment.
