Pittsburgh police investigate possible stabbing in Sheraden

Pittsburgh police are investigating a possible stabbing late Sunday in the city’s Sheraden neighborhood.

Just after 11 p.m., police were dispatched to the 3100 block of Kelvin Street for reports of a man stabbed. According to police, a man knocked on the door of a home on the block and told the people inside he’d been stabbed.

Officers spoke to the victim at the scene. He was “largely uncooperative,” police said, about where the stabbing took place. He was transported to a nearby hospital.

Police were not able to immediately locate the crime scene. The investigation is ongoing.

Butler home damaged in Sunday fire

A house in Butler was heavily damaged Sunday in a fire.

Crews arrived to the 900 block of Center Avenue around 10:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a fire at the two-story dwelling.

Butler Bureau of Fire Chief Chris Switala told TribLive news partner WTAE the fire was deemed a 2-alarm immediately due to the intensity of the flames and smoke in the home. It took crews about an hour to knock the fire down.

No injuries were reported during the incident. The home was reportedly unoccupied for at least a week prior to the fire.

An investigation into the fire’s cause is ongoing.

2 injured in Washington County crash

Two people were injured following a rollover crash Sunday night in Chartiers Township.

According to TribLive news partner WTAE, the wreck took place around 8:45 p.m. along the 1500 block of Henderson Avenue.

A juvenile was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital from the scene. An adult was transported by ambulance.
