Call up Frenchy Fuqua’s “Foreign Legion” because the Pittsburgh Steelers are heading to France.
The Steelers will play the New Orleans Saints this season in the first NFL game held in Paris, according to league sources. The 80,698-seat Stade de France will host the Week 7 matchup at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time on Sunday, Oct. 25.
The game is a home date for the Saints.
This will be the second year in a row the Steelers visit Europe. They played at Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland, last year against the Minnesota Vikings.
The NFL will officially announce its slate of international games Wednesday morning. This year’s schedule includes nine games with the others in Melbourne, Rio de Janeiro, Mexico City, Munich, Madrid and three in London.
The entire 2026 NFL schedule will be announced Thursday night.
In all, this will be the Steelers’ third regular-season game in Europe. They earlier played a 2013 game at London’s Wembley Stadium, also against the Vikings. The Steelers are 1-1 in those games, having won last year.
In 1993, the Steelers played a preseason game in Spain. The franchise also has taken part in preseason games in Japan, Ireland, Mexico and Canada.
The NFL has already revealed some of the teams involved in the other eight international games this year, including a matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and Dallas Cowboys in Rio de Janeiro. The San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams will meet in Melbourne.
Only the home team was announced in the other international matchups.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are the host for two games in London against teams yet to be announced. The Washington Commanders also have a game in London against an unrevealed opponent.
The Detroit Lions are playing in Munich, the 49ers are participating in the Mexico City game, and the Atlanta Falcons will host in Madrid.
The NFL held its first regular-season game outside of the United States in 2005, a matchup in Mexico City between the 49ers and the Arizona Cardinals.
Previously, the league had played only preseason games at international venues.
In 2007, the NFL scheduled its first regular-season game in Europe, when the New York Giants and Miami Dolphins played at Wembley Stadium in London.
