I find it sad that the Ligonier Country Market has come to an end due to the politics of the town. It will hurt the businesses, as people went in town afterwards or during the market for lunch or shopping trips every Saturday during the season. It will hurt local farmers, vendors and restaurants that sold their goods at the market.
In my opinion, the town got greedy and wanted more money and will hurt themselves and businesses in the long run. The police are funded by our tax dollars they receive.
I hope they find a new area to sell their goods or join the market at All Saints Brewing Co. The Westmoreland Fairgrounds or an old drive-in such as the one in Latrobe would be good areas to open up for it.
