The Jeannette Community Band will kick off its 38th season on May 24 with a spring Memorial Day weekend concert. It will be at 7 p.m. at the Jeannette American Legion, 109 South Fifth Street.
The band is made up of more than 60 volunteer musicians from Jeannette and the surrounding area, under the direction of Ron Stemple and Mary Beth Abaté.
This season’s concerts include:
• June 10: Nights on Clay, Clay Avenue in Jeannette, 6:30 p.m.
• June 12: Italian Festival, Ascension Church, Jeannette, 5 p.m.
• June 21: Ligonier Summer Concert Series, 7 p.m.
• July 25: Latrobe Summer Concert Series, 6 p.m.
• Aug 20: Hempfield Park Amphitheater, 7 p.m.
• Sept. 13: Italian Festival, Latrobe, time to be announced
• Nov. 8: Veteran’s Day Concert, Jeannette American Legion, 7 p.m.
• Dec. 13: Christmas Concert, 7 p.m., Jeannette American Legion, 7 p.m.
