In addition to Pitt, he’d attracted interest from some major Power Four powerhouses, such as Michigan, Auburn, Florida State, LSU and Ole Miss, all of which offered.
North Carolina, Missouri, UCF, UConn and Tulane were also among the programs to have offered.
Black announced his offer from Pitt in late February.
He joins a Pitt Class of 2027 that 247Sports ranks 44th nationally, featuring quarterback Kevin Verpaele, running back Tyler Reid, receiver Jacob Thomas, linebacker Walter Hudson, tight end Ryker Reynolds and offensive lineman Colin Urrea.
