A man was hospitalized and another arrested in connection with a shooting in Pittsburgh’s Troy Hill neighborhood.

Brandon Noel, 22, is facing felony charges of aggravated assault and a misdemeanor charge of recklessly endangering another person for allegedly shooting a man Wednesday afternoon.

Officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of Straubs Lane for a reported verbal domestic altercation around 1:20 p.m. Wednesday.

Police found a man with a gunshot wound to his left hip. Officers rendered aid until the man was transported by Pittsburgh EMS to an area hospital in stable condition.

Bourne said another man, later identified as Noel, was taken in for questioning and later arrested.

Online court documents indicate Noel’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 21 in Pittsburgh Municipal Court.

He remains in the Allegheny County Jail after being denied bail, court documents read.
