A group of Waymos — the driverless robotaxis being launched in cities across the United States — have been invaded an Atlanta neighborhood over the last two weeks.
And the numbers of cars have been multiplying, according to residents.

As seen in the video posted on X, the residents of Battleview Drive in northwest Atlanta said dozens of Waymo cars ended up circling their cul-de-sac, WSB-TV Atlanta reported.
The cars are all empty.
“I think yesterday morning, we had 50 cars that came through between 6 and 7,” one neighbor said, according to the broadcast.
The autonomous ride-hailing service announced in December it would be expanding into the Steel City, along with Baltimore, St. Louis and Philadelphia.
Based in California, the firm started as a project of Google, which is owned by Alphabet, before becoming its own Alphabet subsidiary in 2016
Human-led test drives have been happening around Downtown Pittsburgh as Waymo confirms its technology works on the city’s roads. This phase will take a matter of months, the company said.
There is no date as of yet for when Pittsburghers will be able to use the Waymo service.
