County music superstar Luke Bryan is bringing his farm tour to the Latrobe area this fall.
On Friday, the artist announced three new tour stops, including one at 1846 Farms in Unity Township on Sept. 17.
The other new dates are Sept. 18 at Miller Family Farm in Millersport, Ohio, and Sept. 19 at Prairie View Farms in Brookston, Indiana.
Tickets for the new shows go on sale at 9 a.m. next Thursday, May 21.
The three-time Academy of Country Music Awards entertainer of the year performed last year at The Pavilion at Star Lake.
Bryan brought his Farm Tour to the Cunningham Family Farm in South Huntingdon on Sept. 28, 2024.
Aleisha Stas, manager of 1846 Farms, said producers of that show were scouting for future venues and were impressed with her family’s farm.
Aleisha is the daughter of farm owners Ben and Lori Stas.
The farm land was originally called Poorman Farm in 1785.
More recently, it served as a plant nursery but was abandoned for years. The Stas family purchased it in 2022 and renamed it after a barn built on the property in 1846.
Some concert details are still being worked out between Bryan’s team and farm officials.
The stage will be in one of the fields of the estimated 200-acre property, and excavating is needed for parking.
Stas said producers told the family to expect about 20,000 people based on the South Huntingdon show.
“This is going to be a massive operation,” Stas said Friday evening.
“This is a huge opportunity for Westmoreland County as well as Latrobe, getting the community together. It will be a huge tourist attraction for our town.”
Stas said she is a huge Luke Bryan fan, and her favorite song is his 2015 hit “Kick the Dust Up.”
She hopes the show will not only be great for fans, but draw attention to her family’s preservation efforts.
The farm has produced deer corn, sweet corn, rye and other crops for years.
The family is renovating a 12,000-square-foot barn into a wedding venue and event center. The project started in 2022.
“Preserving land in Pennsylvania and making it a place where the community can come and enjoy is something we’re so passionate about,” Stas said.
The farm’s address is 412 Bell Memorial Church Road. The non-denominational church the road is named after is off of nearby Vermax Road.
Stas said signage leading motorists to the farm will be put up in the coming months.
Bryan’s tour is presented by Bayer.
