Pittsburgh Penguins forward Tommy Novak recorded an assist for the United States in a 5-1 win against Great Britain during a preliminary round game at the International Ice Hockey Federation’s (IIHF) World Championship tournament at Swiss Life Arena in Zurich on Sunday.

Opening the game as the first-line center, Novak logged 16:33 of ice time on 19 shifts and recorded one shot. In the faceoff dot, he was 4 for 11 on draws (36.3%)

Penguins defenseman Connor Clifton began the contest on the right side of the United States’ third pairing and clocked 16:21 of ice time on 18 shifts. He recorded one shot and two penalty minutes.
