Almost simultaneously upon the Pittsburgh Steelers making his signing official via public release Monday, Aaron Rodgers was out on the field participating in the first organized team activity practice session of 2026.
The 42-year-old Rodgers put pen to paper for a one-year contract reported to be worth up to $25 million with incentives on the same day this season’s veteran Steelers gathered for a practice-like workout for the first time.
A four-time NFL MVP, Rodgers stretched with teammates during a period of about 25 minutes of OTAs that was open to media. As the session moved on to 11-on-11 style work, Rodgers took the first snap with the first team offense.
A 22-year veteran, Rodgers joins a position room that includes holdovers in veteran backup Mason Rudolph, last year’s sixth-round pick Will Howard and Penn State product Drew Allar, who was drafted in the third round last month.
Selected Steelers players will be made available to media upon conclusion of Monday’s OTA session.
