A goal and an assist by forward Tanner Andrew led the Wheeling Nailers to a 4-3 win against the Maine Mariners in Game 7 of the North Division final at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, W.Va., on Monday.
Having won the best-of-seven series, 4-3, the Nailers advance to the Eastern Conference final to face the Florida Everblades.
Forwards Matty De St. Phalle, Matthew Quercia and Zach Urdahl all scored goals for Wheeling while defenseman Emil Pieniniemi contributed two assists.
Goaltender Taylor Gauthier made 27 saves on 30 shots to improve his postseason record to 8-4.
