Democratic candidate reveals cancer diagnosis
Alan Bradstock, who is running as a Democratic candidate in Pennsylvania’s 14th Congressional District, announced Monday he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
But he said it’s won’t stop his political campaign, according to a post on Facebook.
“The good news is that it was found early, and my doctors and I have a clear treatment plan that will begin soon. My prognosis is excellent, and I will continue campaigning across PA-14 without interruption,” he wrote.
Guy Reschenthaler is currently the representative in the district in which Bradstock is running.
Bradstock said in the post that the experience will “deepen” his understanding of what so many families have to go through with cancer diagnoses.
“Because I believe deeply in the work ahead and in the people I’m working for, I remain committed to moving this campaign forward,” he wrote. “I’m grateful for the prayers, encouragement and support of my family, my team and this community.”
